texasmama
I like it. :) Sadie is a derivative of Sarah, as I recall.
MtnTeaching
I love it!! I like that it is a name you just don't hear that much. When I was growing up, a friend of my father's family was named Sadie. She was an older lady, but what a spitfire. She had flown as a WASP during WWII, lost her husband when she had a very young family, and made her living by running a neighborhood pub. I always think of this fiesty, pretty lady when I hear the name Sadie. Congratulations!
JFSinIL
I'd flip it to Elise Sadie.... Sadie Sadie painted lady immediately came to mind. :-( (but then I am old...) Sadie Hawkins Dance

Perry
Love it! We actually considered it. My dad's mom was Sadie (real name Sarah). We also considered Piper Elise. Love Elise, for either a first or middle name.
Kathleen in VA
I'd flip it to Elise Sadie.... Sadie Sadie painted lady immediately came to mind. :-( (but then I am old...) Sadie Hawkins Dance I always remember it as "Sadie, Sadie, married lady" from the musical "Funny Girl." Was that song a take on an older version with "painted lady"? just curious. About the name - I love it. Very cute!

Pretty in Pink
I love it! I wanted to name this baby Sadie Mae, but dh was not on board the Sadie bandwagon, alas. We're going with Miranda Mae instead.
BakersDozen
How neat!! I decided on Juliette Elise so I'm partial to that middle name. Sadie is incredibly sweet and goes well with Elise. October is going to be fun around here as far a babies go! :)
happyhappyjoyjoy
I love it. If DS2 had been a girl he would have been Sadie. However, DD is not named that. I still love it though:)

That colors my view a bit. I love Elise though! Sweet! Especially love Elise. (But I kind of agree with the above - the dog we got from the pound was named Sadie and that is what I thought of first...we changed it tho...) DianeW88
I've always loved the name Sadie. And since we're not having any more kiddos....our cat has the name. :D However, we spell it Saydie...after the dd of a friend of ours. That was how she spelled it.
