Liz CA
Do you pay just for internet? Do you bundle? How much is the internet portion? $19.99 for straight DSL. No bundles. Cell phone is Straight Talk for $30.00 a month -dh has a company cell.
TraciWA
We pay about 20 bucks for ours. We don't have cable so didn't want to bundle it. One company wanted 65 dollars just for internet!

higginszoo
We bundle. It's $80/mo for home internet, a mobile internet hub (can go anywhere we can get a Sprint 4G signal), and home phone w/unlimited calls, long distance. I think that the way they have it structured is it's $30 for the home internet, $30 for the phone and $20 for the mobile hub, but I think that any one service would be $40 by itself. (This is through Clear.)
Mergath
We pay something like forty bucks a month for 12 meg internet service. We need it to be fairly fast because dh is a hardcore gamer. If we went with a lower speed, we could get it for twenty a month. What's frustrating here is that they have the town divided up into little monopolies. In our neighborhood, you can only get it from Charter. Period. Other neighborhoods can only get it from one specific company. Makes it kind of hard to shop around. :glare:
Liz CA
Where do you get the DSL from? Our local AT&T. When we moved last May, there was some "deal" going on and we took it.
PeacefulChaos
$42 for cable internet, no bundle. (we don't have a landline or tv service at all)
Laura in MI
$35 for the internet portion of our bundle.
G5052
$60/mo. for cable internet, nothing else included. DSL isn't available, and satellite is less reliable and more expensive.
zookeeper
$46 for internet. We live in the boonies and our options are limited. The only other option was satellite and I'm not paying for that.
elegantlion
Our cable and internet is 79.00/month. I think the internet portion is about 40-45.
JFSinIL
$142, (includes tax), includes high speed internet, phone (with long distance no extra charge), and cable tv with a zillion channels (but no HBO etc. as we have Netflix).
Random
$90/month for satellite internet. The only other option is dial-up.

ElizabethB
Pricing is very location dependent. We have paid anywhere from $30/month to closer to $100 per month for the same service, it depends on supply and demand and local competition. Also, depending on the cost difference, we may or may not be willing to pay more for super fast service.
TravelingChris
NOt sure, I have just been so amazed at the low prices I am paying here. I have internet, phone with free calling all over US and Canada, and four cable outlets plus 2 DVRs and I am paying around $95 for all of that. I should include that I have very extensive cable though not any pay channels or special channels like Spanish or Adult movies.
southcarolinamom
We have a combined high speed internet and "expanded cable" package through Charter. (no premiere channels) It's $129 a month, with all the taxes and fees added in.

Wheres Toto
$45.99 for internet from the cable company. No bundle since we have minimal home phone service and Dish network for television. It's very fast even with multiple computers all going at once. We have 4 computers plus the Wii that are networked.
Princess Peach
$60 for cable internet and basic cable bundled.
Jean in Newcastle
OK - And dh and I thought that we were way overpaying with $29.95 a month!:D (I remember when it was $9.95. . . )
georgialee
$49.99 for mobile internet through T-Mobile. We can't get cable out here in the boonies so our only other option was dial-up or satellite. For what we get, the mobile internet (the usb thing that sticks into your computer) seemed to be the cheapest and offer the most value. Stratford
$62.95....it's our only option where we are, we're waiting for FIOS to come soon. :glare:
Hannah C.
$45/month for AT&T U-Verse at the 12mbps speed. That price includes the taxes etc.
Tutor
Right now we pay $50/month for 5Gig of mifi access through AT&T 3G. We pay an additional $10/Gig over that (thus, no online videos at this house). We went this route because we had no DSL or cable access at our old house and satellite was very expensive and unreliable. However, about a month ago dh called T-Mobile (our current cell phone provider who we are not too happy with) and AT&T (through whom we have cell internet only) to compare prices, check agreement times, costs of early termination, etc, and the agent at AT&T offered him a bundle of DSL, DirectTV, and a 5Gig iPhone data plan for $50/month for 2 years with a 2 year contract. We couldn't do it then because we could not afford the early termination fee with T-Mobile, but we are thinking when tax refund time rolls around we will switch because we could get DSL, satellite tv, and two data phones (we are going to see what price we can get if we get low data limits) for less than what we pay for just our two non-data phones right now. The agent said she made a note on our account to keep the deal open to us through May, so we're hoping it works out. It sure would be nice. nukeswife
I pay $48.99 a month for cable internet (up to 20 Mbps with power boost whatever that is). I don't bundle because the company sucked for phone and television. My dh teases how when I die someone will have to pry the Directv remote from my cold dead hand. Shellers
$90/month for satellite internet. The only other option is dial-up. I was paying the same thing for Wildblue and then I found out about "Fixed Wireless" internet. Now I pay $59.99 a month for unlimited bandwidth and my internet is fast! :)
Mama2Many4
We have Cox and bundle. About $40 for the internet portion.
Soror
Bundled here from the phone company, they are the only option for high speed except satellite which is WAY more expensive. We pay $64 month for DSL, unlimited long distance and phone service.
Tigger
We have a bundle with phone, internet and dish; the internet portion is $70 a month and it's that (DSL) or satellite since we don't have cable available where we live.
chepyl
$20 for AT&T. It would be $5-10 more, but we do combined billing with our cell service and get a discount.
DawnM
We pay $44 for internet alone. It is turbo and gets around 20mbps on most days. Dh works from home some and needs the faster internet and we have streaming for TVs and computers, so it really helps. We could cut back to $30 as that is the lowest tier, but it was too slow for us. Trresh
$80/month...internet only (Verizon air card). We get 10 Gigs a month. Insight is an option here but we're so far off the road it would have cost $1400 to bring it to our house.
