  1. My teenage dd's are going through their clothes today (finally!) so I'm sure I'll have quite a bit of stuff to give away.
  2. Thank you for saying that :001_smile: I'm not sure if I should actually say anything to her or have dh say anything. That would just cause more problems. I just have to stop letting it bug me.
  3. :iagree: Christabel/Christabelle is one of my favorite names, it means beautiful Christ follower. Other C names; Caitlyn, Caleb, Charles, Candace, Carter, Connor, Cooper, Carly, Charlotte, Caroline, Carrie, Catherine, Chyenne, Chase, Charity, Chasity, Chelsea Can you tell I research baby names too much! :D
  4. I'd let her wear it, but if she asked my opinion I would tell her it was unflattering and let her decide if my opinion mattered or not.
  5. I'm so sick of my MIL judging everything we do. It's everything, ALL.THE.TIME. Her latest was saying I shouldn't care about dss12 because I'm not his mother and he'll always hate me. This was said after I told her how things are improving with him. After she said that I didn't respond and said I should start dinner and walked away. How do you deal with someone like this? She's over our house at least once a week, she goes to our church, she is actively involved in our lives. Dh doesn't want to cut off the relationship because if he does he'll lose his relationship with his dad, and I could never do that to him. I try to blow it off I really do, but I cannot stand it. Sigh..
  6. At the public high school the only AP class a freshman can take is AP US History (unless they've tested outed of classes or are going to graduate early). This is a newer thing because when ds17 was a freshman he couldnt take AP classes. That being said if your ds is motivated to take this class I would definitely let him. You always have the summer to prepare for the essay writing and/or any other areas that need improving.
  7. Dd is 15 today and Dd13 will be 14 tomorrow! We're having a birthday party for the both of them tomorrow. We're going bowling and then open swimming at the highschool pool, then some of their friends are sleeping over. They grow up way too fast! Hug your little ones :001_smile:
  8. Sorry I couldn't update sooner. We didn't get home until 9:15 and needed to have a talk with her. Dd showed up at dance, they decided to go to a different friend's house that dd is not allowed over. Not exactly sure how we're punishing her because tomorrows her birthday and this weekend she's having a birthday party. :001_unsure: ETA: I am getting that app! Thanks!
  9. I dropped dd14 off at gymnastics at 12 she texted me at 3 asking if she could go to over a friends to do homework and if I could pick her up at 6 and take her to dance. When I got to her friends house no one was home, except her friends 18yo brother he said they we're there around 3:15 but then left again. No idea where they went. Her phone is going straight to voice mail. I've also called her friend and friends parents and no answer from either. Dh is calling all her friends parents and see if shes been over anyone else's house or if they know where she is. Someone tell me to stop freaking out. :scared:
  10. I first started homeschooling because my 1st husband wanted to homeschool our kids, so I wanted to follow his wishes after he died. I actually thought the idea was crazy when he first told me about it. Now its because I want whats best for each of my kids and that is homeschooling for some of them. :001_smile:
  11. The school dd14 is going to is closing so we'll be homeschooling again next year. What are you planning for your 10th graders? :bigear:
