  1. I've been thinking about the same thing. I had an idea but I don't know if it's completely crazy, What about taking a class at the CC such as Biology and then self studying for the AP test and taking it too? Don't mean to hijack but I'm wondering if you can do that? :bigear:
  2. It wasn't a rumor. They announced it today, they don't have enough funds to keep the school 7th-12th. At the highschool age the ps highschool has more options then there small school (AP classes, sports/clubs). They are going to make it K-8 school for that reason and because the majority of the kids in our church our in that age range. They said they'll be announcing more details as they become available. I don't think it'll be as bad as I thought it would be. :) Dd14 wasn't all that upset, like I thought she would be. She'll be able to spend more time in the gym and studio, but she did request that she gets online classes or co-op classes.
  3. Dd & I absolutely love the private school shes going too, we're very disappointed because there's a possibility it may be closing. I think I would take the chance and put him in the school, you can always homeschool again if it doesn't work out! :001_smile:
  4. One of my friends has a daughter that goes to the same private school as dd14 called me and told me there was rumors that they will be closing the school next year and was wondering if I knew if they we're true. It could be true, they don't have many students. There's a parent meeting tomorrow and I'm wondering if they're going to announce it then. :001_unsure: I'm praying it's just a rumor, because I don't know what we'll do if it's not. Dd is in gymnastics, dance and cheerleading and there's no way she can attend ps and keep her current schedule. We could homeschool again but my we had some major attitude issues that caused issues between me and my dd last time we did (2 years ago) and dd doesn't like me being her teacher. If we do we'll just have to use online classes or something? Ugh.
  5. :iagree: I think it has to do more with their personality and each family. My kids do regularly ask for hugs, my 17yo will even ask for a hug occasionally :D
  6. Thanks! She has a twin bed and that's what the majority said. She's 5'7 1/2", She said that she does fit in it but it's not comfortable? :001_huh: I don't know if she just wants something to complain about or if it really is uncomfortable.
  7. When ds17 was 10 he flipped over his handle bars, we we're told if it wasn't for his helmet he would have had major head injuries and could have possibly been paralyzed! Safe to say my kids will always wear helmets.
  8. Dd14 is complaining that her bed is too small and she needs a bigger bed and "everyone she knows" has a bigger bed. I'm pretty sure she's over exaggerating but I thought I'd ask the hive :tongue_smilie: Poll to follow.
  9. I get him a card, and he usually gets me flowers and chocolate. :001_smile:
