Does anyone have any nice pics of natural stuff that lives near or around you. we’ve had an exceptionally good year for fungi for some reason so we are learning the names of some of them. this is apparently called witches butter. and just for fun here’s a frog pic as well. A fox pup from this springs litter that I see wander through. A baby raccoon looking for food one evening. We're extra dry this year so the wildlife is out and about more than normal. The moth is actually a skipper butterfly. Not sure which exact skipper species. A mushroom on a trail, the overlook at sunset near where my daughter and I camped (and got eaten alive by deer flys), and a waterfall at a nearby nature preserve. It had been pretty dry so the waterfall was barely flowing, but the size of the rocks always surprises me. This week we have had lots of rain so it’s probably flowing good now. The cloud with the sun behind it was today, and the fire rain was yesterday. And the caterpillar wasn't really a happy nature pic for my plants, but this same guy has traveled crazy distances each time I ditch him somewhere to come back to my garden. I love how you worded this and have decided this is a new part of my language. It's officially my verb particular to butterfly movement. That is a tomato hornworm and their eggs are laid en masse by a pretty, harmless looking butterfly. The Hornworm will literally decimate your plants if given the opportunity. Watch, though, for one covered in egg sacks. Those are laid by my the Tomato Hornworm Wasp and the larva feed on the caterpillar. Nature in action!
