I love that he went to people to prove He was still alive as Scripture foretold. The reason I love Easter is that it is a reminder that no matter how dark things get, be that forces working against you or the depths of a grave you dug yourself into and can't see the way out, that darkness is not the end. Good Friday isn't the end. Darkness doesn't win. Evil doesn't win. Cruelty and Fear and Hatred and Oppression don't win. Beyond all expectations, in the midst of grief and confusion and doubt, Truth and Light and Love faced the darkness and won.
