VaKim
Coffee! It seems like I am fine in the morning and not hungry at all. Until I eat. Then my stomach hangs out a big sign saying "open for business," and I am wanting to eat constantly the rest of the day.
Danestress
This must be some kind of trick question. Coffee IS breakfast, right? I drink black coffee and generally don't want anything else until maybe 'brunch' time - like. 10:30 or 11:00.
Maela
Coffee with a tablespoon of heavy cream is my breakfast. As long as the cream is allowed, I choose coffee.
ocelotmom
Probably breakfast, and I say that as a coffee drinker. It would depend on what I was allowed to add to the coffee (bulletproof coffee with an egg? I might go with that) and when I would be able to eat, though. This is influenced by the fact that lunch is often 2pm (with breakfast at 5am), and I'm exclusively breastfeeding. I typically wait 12 hours between my last consumption of food and my first meal of the day. So, if I am awake and eat something at midnight, my body is naturally not hungry till around lunch time :) I know that seems backwards to many but my body is the most happy with this schedule. It makes sense. The same is true for me, except I rarely eat after 7 or 8pm.

Guest
Coffee. Breakfast is what I make for my boys but I need coffee to do that.
LucyStoner
Breakfast. I drink coffee but not everyday/all the time. I don't have a caffeine addiction anymore and I don't want one so I keep it that way.
GailV
I don't drink (coffee), so definitely breakfast. :D Pie should have been on the list. Then it would have been a struggle. :drool5: Sometimes I eat pie for breakfast. Put fruit pie in a bowl and pour milk over it -- figure the crust counts as "cereal". Yeah, I'm a visionary. jenn-
My heart says coffee wins hands down. The rest of my body says food would have to win or I would be vomiting by lunch.

ScoutTN
Breakfast! I got off of caffeine about 13 years ago so I don't need coffee. Sometimes I do have decaf but more often hot tea with my breakfast.
abacus2
Breakfast! Coffee is a recent addition to my morning and I can manage without it. I wake up starving. I take medicine that I am supposed to wait an hour before eating after I take it. I miserably followed those instructions for a couple years and then decided I was going to eat and only follow the instructions if I saw negative effects. I haven't. dirty ethel rackham
Breakfast. Hands down. You don't want to be around me without breakfast. Not a coffee fan, but I could live without my usual cuppa loose-leaf tea, but not food.
DawnM
I start with coffee. An hour or two later, I have a breakfast.
sewingmama
Well I don't drink coffee...so I'll change it to breakfast or chocolate. Chocolate wins every time... I'm not a big fan of eating much in the morning.

Tutor
I choose coffee every day. I rarely eat before noon. It's terrible, I know. But I have zero appetite in the morning. Food makes me nauseous. Ditto for me, just substitute "tea" for "coffee."
Desert Rat
I don't drink coffee. I won't pick breakfast either. I usually eat later in the morning after I've been up for several hours. I choose Coke Zero, my caffeine of choice. :P
1GirlTwinBoys
Coffee I do like to eat eggs & toast closer to lunch though.
foxbridgeacademy
Ummmm, neither. Coffee makes me sick (but I LOVE it) same for breakfast, if I eat within 6 hours of getting up, I'm sick all day.
Mom in High Heels
What type of breakfast? And how soon after getting up do you usually eat? Just curious. :) I personally drink a cup of hot tea, a piece of dry whole grain toast (Rudi's Bakery Nut-n-Oat's) and a banana. I can't really handle more than that. I usually eat within an hour of getting up. Believe it or not, I actually really like my toast plain. On the weekends I get crazy and add just a touch of cream cheese and jam to the toast, but I couldn't stomach that every day. If we go out for breakfast, I might order pancakes and turkey bacon or maybe grits (if they have them), but that is a very rare exception. While we were in WDW a few weeks back, breakfast was not my favorite thing, as getting just toast and fruit was difficult. You wouldn't think it would be, but at the hotel food court (we stayed on property), most of the places to get b'fast only had the options of pancakes, waffles, omelets or a full b'fast of eggs, bacon, hash browns, etc. You could get fruit as a side option though. It was just too much for my stomach. I didn't eat much, but I knew I had to eat something, or I would have dropped before lunch.
meena
I'm usually not a breakfast or coffee person. Substitute tea for coffee, though, and I'd definitely choose that above all.
AnnE-girl
Coffee for sure. I do best with both, but I wouldn't be able to function with the caffeine withdrawal headache I would have without my coffee.
