Χάων
Right now. Normally there is an audio book in the background but today is a rare day that the house is quiet. And of course the most insane song pops into my head so I am listening to it

MercyA
80's music today. I'm noticing that 80's band names are fun: Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, T'Pau (yay for the Star Trek reference), Modern English, Simple Minds, When in Rome, Toto... ScoutTN
WildKratts in the background. No noise from the kitchen which means the washer has stopped and I need to move the laundry over to the dryer. A/C humming. I am so thankful for this simple blessing on a hot humid day!
Spryte
Ben Folds "Do It Anyway" is on at the moment. Before this it was Lily Allen. :001_tt1: I adore her.
Critterfixer
It was Hank the Cowdog. Right now it is this insanely loud fan as I try to dry out the subfloor in the kitchen.

amyco
Right now? FIFA futbol on Univision because we don't have cable. It's in the background. I can tell when someone is close to scoring because the announcers get much louder!
prairiewindmomma
Wildkratts from the living room, Alcatraz v. Shattering Glass in the kitchen, fish tank bubbling behind me.... Jenny in Florida
I was working on a transcription job today. So, most of the afternoon was listening to one man interview another man about database management products. Now that I'm done with that, I've switched to the newly released "Hedwig and the Angry Itch" soundtrack.

Zebra
Hootie and the Blowfish, Cracked Rear View. I saw it at Goodwill a couple of weeks ago, and grabbed it. I am having a total flashback to my senior year in high school, and was shocked to just read that it's the album's 20th anniversary this month. Gulp. That makes me what, 25 years old :confused1:???? Really enjoying listening to it, that surprised me. Everywhere I go lately it's 90's music, I must be the demographic retailers want to sell to right now. MercyA
I'm on a Josh Groban binge today. And I'm always good for a mix of nineties pop, alternative, and singer/songwriter. That's like half my iPod, because back then I actually had expendable income to buy music :D Your mention of 90's music reminds me of the concerts I went to in college...Bush and No Doubt (Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani met on that tour; the Goo Goo dolls opened!), Nine Inch Nails (Marilyn Manson opened, blech), and Hole and Veruca Salt (right after Kurt Cobain died; does anyone remember "Seether"?). Good times. Most of the music I listened to then wasn't exactly edifying, so there are only a few random 90's songs left on my iPod (some Candlebox, Filter, Primitive Radio Gods...), plus Midnight Oil's Earth and Sun and Moon album (love!). My husband just finished playing "Glycerine" on acoustic guitar, very apropos. :thumbup1:
