Michelle My Bell
I want to give all my kids new PJ's this Christmas Eve, but I would like to add something fun in addition to that. I was considering a nice book or movie. Possibly some sort of snack or an inexpensive, but unique toy or gadget. Any ideas?
Starr
I want to live at your house. ;) I like it, pj party stuff.

GSOchristie
We do either a book or some fun bath stuff :) That's a cute idea, I might go to BBW and get some peppermint bath stuff for mine :).
MomtoCandJ
Actually I think this year we are going to do both, there's a lot of inexpensive bath stuff for kids at Walmart :)
retiredHSmom
We have never done new pjs but we all get a new book Christmas Eve. It is one of our family's favorite traditions. I vote for a book! Maybe I need to go but everyone new pjs this year too!
MomtoCandJ
The pjs thing was a tradition I had growing up (we didn't have many) so I'm doing the same with my children (which will soon be two girls). I also add a new book and will probably add this year something for baths :)
Tmhearn
How about a game everyone can play together?
Rubix
We've done books, and pillow pets for the kids with their pj's. However, they don't like to ever get rid of them, so we decided on a flashlight friend this year.

kathy_overman
We give PJs too. However, I am stumped as to what to do with my son who never sleeps in PJs! I like the idea of giving something with it ... books, movie, board/card game, small lego set, a cooking set, sports ball (if it is nice out), thinking putty, music, journal (Listography). I love the idea of adding a board game to give to everyone on Christmas Eve. Great Idea!
PinkInTheBlue
We started giving pj's on Christmas Eve because of reading it on this board many years ago. I've never considered putting something else in with it. Thanks again! Great idea!
twoxcell
We just do PJ's but the other ideas here sound fun too. :)

Chocolate Rose
We've always done pjs and a book. As dd has gotten older, I've tried to make it a very special book. Most years it's been signed by Santa.
happypamama
One year we gave handmade pottery mugs from our favorite local potter, on Christmas Eve, followed by hot chocolate and the Christmas story.
Gentlemommy
I'm doing pajamas, fuzzy socks, and electric toothbrush (I usually buy the regular ones so this is a treat to them lol) , and a new book.
Acorn
Our kids get pjs on St. Nick's Day. For Christmas eve, they get a book and our family gets a new game.
Jen in PA
On Christmas Eve my kids gets pajamas and their memory boxes for the year. I used to do scrapbooks, but I never really enjoyed making those. Now I get pretty boxes at Michaels, and put all of their special objects from the year inside. We open them on Christmas Eve, and sit together looking through the cards, ticket stubs, certificates, field trip loot, and vacation mementos that I collected through the year. Above The Rowan
My kids get a gift from "Santas sneaky elves" on Xmas eve (left at our door for when we get home from our visit to my dads house) and it includes: -new jammies -hot chocolate -cute holiday mugs -a book in one and a holiday movie in the other's -"reindeer food" to sprinkle on the snow (recipe from Pinterest) -a cute little note to each saying to have fun getting ready for a magical Xmas We don't do extravagant gift giving on the holidays, so this is a fun way to make it exciting on Xmas eve and my kids talk about Santas sneaky elves as much as they talk about Santa
Wilma
Hm... we really just do jammies on Christmas Eve. The last couple of years it's been a follow-the-clues thing to get to the jams, but at that point, it's just a pair of pajamas per kid and they're delighted. Just don't tell my kids that your kids get something else besides jammies in their jammies box!!

The elves letter tells my kids that they can't let Santa know that they have been out sneaking gifts so my kids keep it on the hush hush lol Now that I see that written down it seems rather like a lot of work but it's just cute fun for my two. I fear this may be my sons last year believing so trying to hang on to the fun magic as long as I can. .
dbmamaz
wow, it sounds like some of you do almost as much for xmas eve as we do for xmas day. xmas eve is usually JUST pjs here. I might 'open' the season 7 of dr who and watch the first episode.
lovinmomma
I've seen a really cute pinterest idea with a box tied up with PJs, hot cocoa, popcorn, and a family movie. You could also do slippers, robes, family game, etc.

Michelle My Bell
Wonderful ideas everyone! I really like the memory boxes idea, but since I didn't collect anything, I think I will get some pretty boxes at Michael's Crafts to put their jammies in and whatever else I decide. Then I will tape a note on the top that tells them to use their box to collect their favorite memories all year to share next year. I will also include some sort of bible verse and lovey dovey stuff about them. Maybe some sort of charge to keep up the faith and continue to pursue excellence in their lives. sewingmama
We put all ours in a Christmas Eve box. They get PJ's, a board game, a new movie and snacks. This helps keep them from running around like loonies crazy with excitement lol. We don't go anywhere or visit any family over Christmas so we try to make Christmas Eve fun at home.
