anewday
Is this the one with readers called: Fun in the Sun, Scamp and Tramp, Soft and White, At the Farm, Sounds of the Sea, (and I think there's one more!)? We use these readers and LOVE them!!! They've been out of print for awhile (which is why I usually don't mention them), but I'm not sure if Children's Books ever got the rights to start printing them again or not.  I never had the whole program - just the readers.  YES! Oh you should get the program if you can (or need). It is so good.:)  Children's Books has had quite a time of it with this curriculum and getting the rights to it. Last I heard (several months back) they were printing them again. I bought 2 sets after my first dd went through it 5 years ago. I planned to copy the worksheets if the program went out of print altogether (having asked them about it first). It's so well put together and builds such a strong foundation in reading!:)

hsmamainva
Would you tell me what you didn't like? I have looked at it briefly and it seemed interesting...Thanks  It probably would've been fine with younger students, but my boys were bored to tears. It was very scripted .. sort of the way Saxon Math is. And the questions were wayyy too simple for my boys (3rd & 8th grade, btw).  So even though the grades listed on the curriculum matched, it just wasn't a good fit.  It probably would've worked well in 1st or 2nd grade...no higher than 3rd grade. The kids surprisingly did enjoy the KFE and all the outlining. I wanted more depth and less jumping around.  Ecce Romani - supposed to be done once a week but we run out of time and Friday is usually our catch up day.  DS9 only: Reading Detective - He needs to read more fiction (prefers purely no-fiction) and this is wetting his appetite.  DS7 Winners: First Language Lessons  Losers: LLB Recorder - my ears can't take his practicing
