This has gone on the list for my husband. We have many candles and oil lamps that he regularly lights in the darker months. Thank you, @happi duck!

We just bought Covid Christmas ornaments for each of our kids (you can pick whether it says 2020 or 2021), and I love that it includes homeschooling:

https://www.etsy.com/listing/887952134/commemorative-2021-holiday-ornament-just

That is neat!  As was yours @WildflowerMom.

I had to go looking for other ornaments with a homeschool theme and found these ~

One

Two

Three (not only homeschool related)

Four (this says ornament but looks like a coaster)

I found some cute bookmarks -

These sound like useful, functional bookmarks Giant Shark and Glowing Dinosaur

I have one or two of these Sprout bookmarks and I've been surprised at how well it works

This Nessie bookmark is cute, although from the reviews it doesn't seem terribly functional

Same for this Bookworm bookmark, cute, but not as functional as a dedicated reader would like

Wait - what? Gift ice cream? Is it good? Can you compare it to something I might be familiar with - Breyers or Cold Stone? Grocery store or local specialty shop? We usually send something food for my SIL family to enjoy at Christmas because we don't see them - one of those pick your pints sets seems like a great idea.

Really, really great ice cream. Their flavors inspire mix of incredulity (why didn't I think of that?!?) and amazement (of course!!!), and they are made from *real* ingredients, not artificial flavorings. Now that dd has moved, I'll have to ship us some, since we can't make the pilgrimage together.

Last year I posted Amber Share's Subpar Parks postcards and prints.  She now has a book (woo, hoo!) and quite a few additions to her line of products.  My park-hopping family really enjoys her work.

I saw the book recently and remembered the prints you shared last year. I like the dry humor! (Her planner is quite attractive, too.)

I ordered a desktop vacuum to clean up eraser crumbs and little messes I make when crafting. It arrived today and it works well and is cute, too. This would be a good gift or stocking stuffer for a number of different people.

This little volume also arrived today & would be good for a poetry lover or an aspiring poet or writer as the author is quite young. It contains one poem titled “The Hill We Climb.”

For the world traveler:

https://www.uncommongoods.com/product/scratch-map

DS has always had a map in his rooms growing up, this will make a nice “adult” version and keepsake as well. I see a lot of travel in his future.

DH and I used to trace lines on a map of North America when we were younger and took lots of road trips/moved a lot. Eventually the map looked like a giant spider web there were so many lines crisscrossing it. 🙂

$205,000?!??

That makes the $810 carafe that started the thread seem like a positive bargain, even with that $10 off offer, @TechWife! Thanks for finding the price, @happi duck; I still don't see it on my Kindle Fire. I was thinking it's one of those 'If you have to ask the price, you can't afford it' scenarios; I was right.

Kareni

I recently bought these: https://www.etsy.com/listing/706988740/chore-stamps-housework-planner-stamps?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=starving+artist+planner+stamps&ref=sr_gallery-1-1&organic_search_click=1&cns=1  to put into my paper planner to help me coordinate and remember various household chores, and I'm quite pleased with them.

I love the aesthetic of these journal stickers: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1083726376/comfy-winter-sticker-sheet-bujo-stickers?ref=shop_home_feat_4&bes=1

I bought this watercolor workbook for my daughter: https://www.amazon.com/Watercolor-Me-Dana-Fox/dp/1624145566/ref=sr_1_9?crid=3HAQPLKIOBAOF&dchild=1&keywords=watercolor+workbook&qid=1635960462&sprefix=watercolor+workbook%2Caps%2C164&sr=8-9  The pages in the book themselves are made of watercolor paper.  It has step by step tutorials for beginners.

Ooh, those are neat! Thanks for sharing the link, pitterpatter.

I have a friend who would probably like those offerings. She has a frog that was made out of a bowling ball and metal by a local artist. I tried to find a similar image to share, but all of the bowling ball frogs I see (and, yes, that's a funny thing to say!) incorporate an uncut bowling ball. The artist who made her piece cut out a wedge from the ball to be the frog's open mouth.

I bought all the women's gifts early this year, while there was a sale, at https://wrapunzel.com/

Now that dh is laid off again, I am *very* glad I shopped early. Only two guys in the immediate family to buy for and dh is happy with new pj pants. I love the retroart site and will probably get my son a t-shirt from there!!

Thanks, kareni, for this yearly thread. I really appreciate it. Last year I signed up for the Archie McPhee catalog and the family think it is so hilarious that they keep it around to re-read!!

Wow, might put one of those on my list!

I like this one. (I'm a nearly-native Californian transplanted to the midwest.)

That's the same one I chose!  I love it but it's so expensive!

I grew up in South FL and moved to northern OH 26 years ago but just started not being able to tolerate the cold a few years ago.  I am painfully cold all the time now and this would be perfect.

We got Patchwork at a game fair the first year it came out. Now we've lost many pieces (probably played it 1000 times, so that's OK). Maybe we'll get a different edition for new artwork!

Halloween

We gave the Americana version when we visited friends this summer.

I see that the Christmas version includes a cookie cutter, so I'll cast my vote that you get that one!

The hats look neat, too. Thanks for all the links.

I have positive experience with this site. They have skins aka big stickers for cell phones, tablets, laptops.  You can chose from their huge assortment or design your own. Plus they are having 25% off sale now.

Thanks for sharing your positive experience as well as the sale information, history-fan!
