Popular Post Jenny in Florida Posted April 3, 2015 Popular Post Share Posted April 3, 2015 Update: It turns out she is (as they say in the character performer world in order to "preserve the magic") "hanging out with" Curious George on the White House lawn today. http://www.today.com/video/today/46993696#46993696 In the linked video, beginning at around 50 seconds, you can see Curious George's face behind Al Roker's left elbow. We were watching that and getting so excited for our daughter, and I looked at my husband and said, "We live a very weird life." ********** I think I've mentioned that, in addition to her day job at the desk of a large dance school, my daughter does some costumed character work in and around NYC. She's done gigs at a variety of promotional events. On Monday, though, she'll be . . . At the White House Easter egg roll (!). She doesn't know yet which character(s) she will be hanging out with, but she'll be spending the day on the lawn playing with kids and doing photos. My son has been lording it over her for a couple of years that he got to sing at the White House with his choir. So, my daughter was pretty delighted to be able to tell him that she gets to perform there, too, and she's even getting paid. Anyway, that's it. I'll be there with our kids, and it would be fun to get a pic of them together! My 11 year old theater boy has loved hearing about your DD's career developments over the last year or so. :) (and do I need to say how excited we are about being there!?
