Oh, and I'm exactly halfway through RS Russian now, AND I got 94% on the writing section - I got only one letter wrong! Most of the time I score <50% on writing, with me going "hm, let's try this letter... nope, how about this one... nope, etc"... (to be clear, I usually get most of the letters correctly, but there tend to be some where I'm like "okay, which vowel needs to go here?", and I have to go through pretty much all the vowels, or, "does this need that soft signʄΠor not?", etc).

Does anyone know if the mommy and daddy cats are brother and sister whether the babies will turn out weird?? DD wants a kitten for her birthday and I was talking to my friend and she said yes, they will be having kittens, but it’s of wonky parentage.

Yes. Don't do it.

Only if you share with me!

Sure, just come on over!

Am I being oversensitive or is Heigh Ho unnecessarily getting on my case in the "Graduating college at 18 with a co-chosen major" thread? I didn't ask for advice, I'll apply to UB or w/e whenever I feel like it (or not - I may decide to find a different path, my youngest is 7), and whether I'm doing that or sitting around doing 'nothing' is none of Heigh Ho's business.

Heck, it'd be nice if I could sit around and do nothing. Somehow though, there are always chores, and kids that need to be educated, etc.

Like, the worst thing I could do at this point is to just go sign up for some college classes, and then wreck my GPA over w/e crisis will happen next (special needs kids, bipolar spouse, my own mental health, etc), or to just collect a couple more classes at yet another school before moving out of the area and needing to start at yet another university which is still going to require a minimum of 30 hours to graduate.

Trying to be responsible instead of throwing good money after bad. As if I'm doing 'nothing' just for fun.

Again, it'd be nice if I could actually do nothing though.

Yeah, I saw that. I mean, just named you outright talking about how what would or could apply, like she knows you. Water off a duck's back. You're safe here.

Luuknam, those are the kinds of threads that I force myself to walk away from. Only you and your family can figure out what is best for you.

Yep. I've been reading that thread, but never responded. You're always gracious though.

Thanks. I wasn't sure if I was just taking things too personally or if it was weird. So, it was indeed weird. And, you know, I'm fine now (was already fine before I got back to reading your and Jean's reply). It'd be nice to finish my degree, etc, but I feel that for now not working on it is my best option, so it's fine. It's not like I'd be rushing out to get a job if only I had my degree finished - I have kids to take care of.

Right. I was enjoying the conversation for the most part though, so I actually started contemplating seeing if I could find the block option (I think you can block users so you don't see their posts, right?).

Anyway, good night y'all. Y'all are awesome! (all of you, not just Jean and Renai, though obviously including Jean and Renai)

Good morning! It's Friday Eve!

(((Maize and Kernel))) Glad the Tamiflu is working for you! It is so expensive, it should work near miracles!

Lynn, I'm sorry your dog was so rude as to interrupt your coffee! :glare:

I have 3 minutes to finish my coffee, brush my teeth, and get out the door to bring dd15 to tutorial and go to Aldi.

Coffee!

Thanks, you guys. I love you a bunch, and I'm so thankful for this place.

Does anyone now how to get smoke smell out? My dad smokes, and the apartment smells terrible.

I haven't dealt with the issue much, but do you think Febreze could help a bit?

RE: Removal of blood stains. Hydrogen peroxide and cold water in the sink. Works best when you do it sooner rather than later. (Tips from wife of cop. We know these things. )

Did you have a previa?

No, it was different.

Well, it's a beautiful day outside. Cold, frosty but enough sunshine to make you think it's going to be spring tomorrow. Now watch us get snow.

I've got a list of things to do, but there's hot tea to finish first. I'm going to buy a tube of Indian Red watercolor paint today. It's about the darkest rust color you can imagine. I see it doing great things for a painting project I will be planning soon.

Having a plastic cone on your head makes everything difficult.  It especially makes all of the usual noises outside suddenly sound very loud and alarming.  My cat is highly frustrated, probably more over curtailed outside time than difficulties grooming.  I realized she needs escorted outside time for now since she can't quite get through certain usual escape paths, and needs the reassurance that what she is hearing isn't the end of the world suddenly descending upon her.

I sat outside with her in the cold for a bit.  Now I'm getting things done so I can sit outside with her for a bit more after the sun rises a little higher.  She will have to tough it out inside while I attend my friend's husband's funeral this afternoon, but hopefully I can sit outside with her some more after I get home from that.  Today is the only day predicted to have dry weather for the next several days, so she needs as much outside time as she can get today.

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:  Bookie. You can do this.

DH is home sick. :/

EdPo: I spent yesterday planning/shopping for next year to try to get over a case of the Februaries. If I can get DS to start doing independent work at 8 in the mornings and join him at 9, we'll get through a reasonable workload.

Good Morning!!!

COFFEE!!!☕ï¸â˜•ï¸â˜•ï¸â˜•ï¸â˜•ï¸

Friday Eve!!!ðŸ‘ðŸ‘ðŸ‘

Hugs to all sick ITTers and sweet babies and dear spouses.

Regarding smoke smell, no ideas. Although last night at Awana one of the leaders was telling us the story about how she couldn’t get the mold smell out of her back bathroom (this was years ago) and so she took the sledge hammer to it. Literally. Her DH came home that night and the shower was gone. I’m not recommending that, though.

JJM, That was an amazing story. Hugs!!!!
