Ann.without.an.e
Not totally along the same lines but my kids who love the above love, love The Thief (it is the first in a series).
Night Elf
Gregor the Overlander by Suzanne Collins. She wrote the Hunger Games, but I like the Underland series better.
alisoncooks
Legend Graceling I liked both of these, though the Graceling series is a little more "grown" in terms of sexual themes. (That said, the 2nd book, Fire, is one of my all-time favorite, fun reads.) Also: Birthmarked trilogy - Caragh M. O'Brien Enclave trilogy - Ann Agguire
alisoncooks
Not totally along the same lines but my kids who love the above love, love The Thief (it is the first in a series). If that's the series by Megan Whalen Turner, I *really* enjoyed them, too! (There's 4, altogether.)
Ann.without.an.e
If that's the series by Megan Whalen Turner, I *really* enjoyed them, too! (There's 4, altogether.) Yes, the Megan Whalen Turner ones :)
Jenny in Florida
This series is a little more traditionally "girly" than the others you mentioned, but I enjoyed: http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/the-selection-kiera-cass/1106580335?ean=9780062059949 It's dystopian, but more about politics and relationships than fighting. Word Nerd
Julianna Baggott's Pure series is interesting. The books are Pure, Fuse, and Burn. I haven't read the last one yet.
SproutMamaK
Not sure if you're a Christian family or not, but if so she might like the Blood of Kings trilogy by Jill Williamson.

LostSurprise
The Uglies series would fit. City of Ember. Gregor the Overlander (already mentioned). The Host. I Am Number Four. I have not read most of these but they are all YA that match the above series.
alisoncooks
Scott westerfeld (author of The Uglies) has another series that is steampunk, WW1 fiction. They're called Leviathon, Behemoth, and Goliath. These were fun reads.
Penny_P
The Maze Runner. The first book was really a page-turner. We're on the library waiting list for the second. The movie comes out this fall. ETA oops. Didn't see this listed in the title of your post. I was just excited to be able to actually suggest something.

Belacqua
Gabrielle Zevin's trilogy that starts with All These Things I've Done is pretty interesting. It's mildly dystopian, but it's mostly about a young woman who has to deal with being part of an organized crime family dealing in contraband chocolate. Sounds kind of bonkers, but I liked it. ElizabethB
Not a trilogy, but "Uninvited" by Sophie Jordan was well written and thought provoking.
