Parrothead
It has been a month since I've had a cigarette. :hurray::party: There are days when I don't even think of them.

*********
Good for you Chucki! :001_smile: I quit when I got pregnant with Zee, and never took it back up. I think there's people that I know IRL who would be surprised that I used to smoke. ;) Can I just admit, even though I'd never start smoking again, and it's been over seven years since I quit, the thought 'I could really use a cigarette right now' still pops in my head sometimes. Especially when I'm overly stressed. You can do it, keep it up!

HRAAB
The first month is so hard. That is a major accomplishment. Keep up the good work. Can I just admit, even though I'd never start smoking again, and it's been over seven years since I quit, the thought 'I could really use a cigarette right now' still pops in my head sometimes. Especially when I'm overly stressed. Even after 25 years the thought occurs occasionally. Then I think about dh, and the thought disappears very quickly. I'm so glad I quit when I did. Parrothead
Thanks for the encouragement. I haven't really had anyone to share that with. Even after 25 years the thought occurs occasionally. Then I think about dh, and the thought disappears very quickly. I'm so glad I quit when I did. That is good to know. It will probably be something I'll have to deal with the rest of my life. Hopefully though, I'll have a longer life now. Dh is on his way to quitting. He was supposed to set his quit date this weekend, but hasn't yet.

Cinder
Congrats! My grandmother quit smoking about 15 years before she passed away and she looked younger then than when she had been smoking. No kidding. Great job to you! Cinder
linders
:hurray::hurray: My dad was a long-time smoker and as a result we no longer have him. You are giving a blessing to your DC!
Parrothead
Wow! Congrats on such a difficult accomplishment. My dad tried to quit many times. I dear friend from church is desperately trying to quit, to no avail. I took the Chantix for two weeks. If she goes that route after the first week the biggest thing is working on changing the habit instead of the nicotine addiction.
