DawnM
what flavor is your favorite? What do you not like? For the life of me I can't enjoy pumpkin in my coffee and don't get the pumpkin latte craze. I DO like carmel, chocolate, and vanilla. SharonM
I do not get the pumpkin thing either! But a pumpkin scone might be a winner. Love chocolate. just chocolate. I am boring that way.
Lurker
I am one of those people that can legitimately save money by avoiding coffee shops because I go so many times a week :) I religiously get a sugar free soy hazelnut latte or vanilla latte (iced in summer and hot in winter). Sometimes I'll break things up and get a creme brûlée latte when it comes out, but not usually.
Stacia
Sometimes plain, sometimes vanilla, sometimes pumpkin, sometimes soy.

DawnM
I usually order it plain too. I def. order plain in the coffee shops, they put way too much syrup in! Stacia
Dawn, if you like a little flavor, you can ask them for fewer pumps of syrup in your latte. That's what I always do. I also ask for mine to be made with whole milk. Fyi, at Starbucks, the number of pumps of syrup are 3 (tall), 4 (grande), And 5 (venti). So, I often will order a grande with only 3 pumps of syrup. TrixieB
Plain. I prefer whole milk for a short latte, and 2% for a double tall. Picky, picky... :)
bobbeym
I used to like pumpkin lattes but have found this year I don't care for it. hornblower
I'm lactose intolerant and have no clue what's in a latte. I'm vegan. Around here you can get them done in soy or almond milk. Espresso, steamed milk & optional flavourings...
poppy
Plain here. I prefer cafe au lait- same thing but with coffee.
Ad astra
Plain. Everyday I have a cup of Americano with nothing added after I wake up in the morning and a plain latte with 1% milk after lunch. I love my Nespresso machine!
J-rap
Usually I just like mine plain. However, sometimes I'll get "half a shot" of some flavor -- like vanilla or pumpkin. :)
NicksMama-Zack's Mama Too
The cafe I work at makes "Black Forest Lattes" made up of equal parts raspberry Monin syrup, almond Monin syrup and chocolate syrup. Pour espresso (1-3 shots, depending on size) over syrups and stir. Add in steamed milk and serve with whipped cream and cocoa powder. Yum. It's a treat for me, not something I'd have everyday. ocelotmom
I don't get the pumpkin spice latte thing, either. I don't hate it, but I've only ordered it twice - once to see what the big deal was, and once a few years later because it had become so much of a thing that I thought maybe I was remembering wrong. Nope - still not that exciting,
Hypatia.
I usually get/make caramel. When I'm dairy-free (nursing, all my kids have had dairy & soy sensitivities) I like them made with hemp milk, the slight bitterness goes well with the sweet caramel. My favorite coffee stands here are ranked by their selection of alternative milks.
HSmomof2
Plain--no flavor, vanilla, or caramel. I don't like the pumpkin in my coffee either.....a scone is a whole different story. :-)
The Governess
If I am out I usually get vanilla. If I am at home I use honey. There is something about that honey/milk combo.....
marbel
Does pumpkin spice latte have actual pumpkin in it, or just the spices? That's what I was told - just cinnamon, cloves, etc. No actual pumpkin. I have liked those in the past, but last year I stopped ordering them at Starbucks as they tasted burned. But then everything at Starbucks tastes burned to me. I don't have many lattes though I do drink coffee at home and I add stuff to it to flavor it sometimes. I add a little hazelnut syrup occasionally. I recently found a recipe for a creamer that cocoa powder and cayenne in it (among other things). That was delicious! ETA: I just googled. No pumpkin in a pumpkin spice latte. Links available on request. But then again maybe I am the only one who didn't know that for sure. DawnM
Actually, I did not know this. Does it have pumpkin flavoring in it. Apparently people can't get an answer to this. It does have flavoring, just not sure if it is pumpkin or not. Carol in Cal.
Cinnamon Dolce, at Starbucks. Sometimes I can get one of them to sell me a bottle of the syrup, but it's just not the same. OMGosh, so good. The first year I had it, it was seasonal. I was CRUSHED when it went away. But now they have it year round, sometimes not showing on the menu but usually available if you ask for it. So so so good.
Momof3littles
I like an unflavored, unsweetened breve latte when I run to starbucks, which is maybe 1-2x a month, depending. Calorie bomb, but for me that can be a meal replacement (lots of fat from the half and half used instead of milk). Years ago I liked pumpkin spice lattes, and then I think they changed the flavor and it was IMO never the same. And then I stopped drinking sweetened coffee of any type. Now I just can't do it. But I do love a good breve latte :)
Crimson Wife
There is a local world grocery market that occasionally has sales on Torani syrup. I've tried French vanilla, hazelnut, almond, peppermint, cinnamon, raspberry, toffee, and gingerbread. I'm not a huge fan of pumpkin spice lattes so I wouldn't buy a whole bottle of that flavor. dollhouse
Plain for this girl. I don't like sweet or flavored coffee drinks. We have a 25-year old espresso machine at our house that still works great. If I'm lazy, I just have a cup of espresso with half and half, but lattes are my favorite.
