Dinsfamily
Here's what I have planned:  Bible/History/Literature/Geography: Finish SL Core C and start Core D (we don't really follow the schoolyear)  Readers: Finish SL Grade 4-5 Readers and start Core D Readers  Spelling: SWR  Grammar and Writing: FLL3/WWE3  Math: Singapore PM 5A/5B, IP 5A/5B, CWP 5, LOF. Plus add Zaccaro CM, HOE as supps.  Science: Finish Noeo Bio 1 and start Noeo Physics 1  Latin: Prima Latina  Art: ICDAT with a little AP thrown in  Logic: Finish CT K-3 and start CT 4-6  Spanish: The Easy Spanish (I say I'm going to start it every year but it hasn't happened yet...maybe this is the year)  This is mostly a continuation of what we've been doing so I don't expect any issues.  Mine have changed a bit. I added MCT's BL for Vocab and changed Logic to Prufrock Press. He's also studying Greek on his own this summer using SSG, Greek Alphabet Code Cracker and Hupogrammon. That should be interesting. Beth in SW WA
This is my hybrid approach for Dd8/grade 3. Our local ALE is moving near our house. Aly is excited to take a few more classes 2x/week at this little public school for homeschoolers. She currently takes science and LOVES it. Not sure if we will stick with the literacy & math. 2_girls_mommy
I can't believe my baby is going to be in 3rd grade! Not possible..  So far I know:  Rod and Staff grade 3 English, Math, Penmanship  Spelling: I own R&S 3 for her, but may swing for AAS at convention after I look it over.  Latin: Prima Latina  History/Geography: SOTW 1 w/A.G. adding a Complete Book of Maps and Geography  Music: R&S music wkshts and Alfred Piano  Art: Chp. 5 of Drawing with Children, then projects from SOTW, scouts, and crafts for fairs, etc.  Science: Bird Study from Memoria Press' 5th grade science for 1st semester. Then study human body from Usborne 1st Encyclopedia and plant study from ?? We will also purchase a microscope this year and will do some studies w/it.  Bible: ???? She has specifically requested more Bible this year, and I have NO idea what to use. I wanted to go w/MP Christian Studies, but frankly, I don't want to spend so much right now. Still looking...  **** purchased MP Christian Studies I and am very excited. We will use it for read aloud practice and the questions for comprehension and the answers to the questions for additional copywork as suggested in the T.M. I didn't know what she was going to read aloud this year, and now I am kind of excited about it.  I decided to stick with R&S spelling one more year to see how it goes for her. I do see improvement as I usually do at the end of the year with her looking back. She is just my slow and steady girl.  That is all that has changed here! Science will be whatever works for her at the moment after the birds study. I will most likely read to her, have her diagram and narrate and play with the Usborne online links. It worked for her sis at that age.

...................
Something I might actually do...history inspires me. They like short lessons and variety (a whole year of drawing would bum them out.). Â Less than $30 would be great too.
sarawatsonim
I have been all over the place with my thoughts on choices, so these are tentative. But no too tentative because I want to be buying some soon;)  Language arts: MCT Island WWE3 Maybe Daily paragraph editing. All About Spelling 3  Math: Singapore 3A/3B, Times Tales  Science: Chemistry Elemental Science or R.E.A.L. Science Odyssey Pandia Press  History: SOTW 3  Geography: Knowledge Quest Expedition Earth maybe  Latin: Finish Lively Latin  French: L'art de Lire 1 and 2 (finishing 1 over summer)  Art: Meet the Masters and a weekly art class  Music: Would like to start piano  Looking at it sort of freaks me out.
