When you 'create new thread', you can scroll to the bottom and it will ask you if you want to set up a poll. look for that text, do what it says anbd after you post your 'thread' just wait a few seconds and it will bring you to a screen that walks you through creating a poll.

Would you like someone else to explain it and we can all decide who did a better job?

Very clear and concise. :) I've followed your instructions and managed to set up a poll about snack food preferences. But see, I didn't follow all your instructions and I missed the ice cream and Mr. Darcy references. I suspect if I add Mr. Darcy in as a snack preference, my poll will be deleted and I'll be banned from the boards. Which would be an interesting rite of passage for me. Alas, I'm torn between adding Mr. Darcy or just going to start some dinner.
