I remember the year because we were housesitting for some friends and my now 17yo daughter was about a year old. These friends had the INTERNET (get this!) at their house! She was a homeschool mom and they were off to the east coast for a homeschooling field trip for six weeks. Through her I discovered vegsource ... and Ellie. I also discovered buying books online and I also discovered limited hours dialup internet (I think we ended up owing them money because I went over their limit, lol).
