All4one
Hey! My dh had this idea since the first LOTR movie came out. :glare: At least dh and the kids haven't outgrown LEGOS yet.
Corraleno
I can't wait! The Gollum figure is hilarious. And how is it possible that Legolas even looks hot as a minfig? But... no Galadriel or Arwen? Jackie

nukeswife
My sons told me about this and my oldest wanted to know if anyone would think it was weird if he wanted to buy one of the sets as a birthday/homecoming gift for dh.

Dmmetler
I figure that we'll be buying them all-even if DD isn't interested (and as fantasy-minded as she is, I think she will be, especially since we've done The Hobbit as a read aloud), DH and I are :) And Gollum is precious :) (or is that, "my preciousssss")

elegantlion
So cool. I've had computer problems all day, still having them, and this is the happiest thing I've heard all day. Now I want some of these. Summer activities! Ds wondered if they're going to do a Lego LotR video games, he loves the Star Wars version. I can see it now, Gollum will be showing up in little hiding places all over the house. Or the Ringwraiths.

danybug
:hurray: That is super cool! My ds is thrilled. When we looked through I also mentioned why there was no Arwen. Boo! Obviously, anything Lego touches turns to gold (unfortunately for wallets in this household :glare:)!
Serenade
Ooooh, thanks for sharing. My oldest will be so excited. He was just suggesting the other day that Lego ought to come out with Artemis Fowl sets, but I think he will be just as excited with Lord of the Rings. gardenmom5
oh, good grief.:leaving:just because my kids are in their *20's!* doesn't mean they're too old for lego. . . . did I mention they have quite the thing for LotR? dd says she majored in classics because of JRRTolkein. I can just picture 2ds grabbing the ring of power and quoting things . . . :svengo:

jenL
Dh is really excited about this! We haven't read this to our boys yet as the oldest is a pretty sensitive soul, but we'll probably end up getting them anyway for dh :)
Education Explorers
My son has been announcing this daily for quite some time. He has picked out sets he wants. He has never read the books or seen the movies since he just turned 8. He loves all things Lego, but he is REALLY excited about this.
