Carpe Diem
Please send thoughts and prayers up for my dearest friend Kate, her son Matthew and all who loved him. Matthew took his own life sometime last night. Please pray for me that I can say/do the right thing to offer some small comfort. I don't know how she will survive this tragedy. GWOB
:grouphug: for you and your dear friend. I've found words to be useless in these situations. Hugs work much better, as do offers of prayer. Just be there for her. Again, :grouphug:.

Carpe Diem
Matthew was 22 years old. I will be traveling 5 hours to the visitation tomorrow night and the funeral will be Sat. morning at 10:30 central time. Does anyone know of a idea of something a group of friends can get for the Dad? We are getting a large fleece blanket with a picture of Kate and her son on it. Something soft she can hold. Kate and the Dad are divorced but I am still worried about him, too.

Carpe Diem
It was a very heart wrenching funeral; however, I am so very glad that I made the trip for my friend. Please keep Kate and all who loved Matthew in your thoughts and prayers. I am very concerned for her health and well-being. Thank you to my Hive friends.
