I have heard that using a Rosemary shampoo may deter them. I also agree with keeping their hair up or on tight braids. My family was infected last year at church or co op or who knows where. It was a nightmare. My girls have really long hair and the combing and searching was exhausting. We felt so yucky and so invaded:tongue_smilie: It took hours each day to comb and search for nits. I can not imagine being so casual about it.

It sounds like the playground talk that my kids heard while we were on vacation in the mountains a few weeks ago. Another kid told my two girls that they were ordinary and that he was special. Keep in mind that the insults were being hurled by a 8ish year old boy. We all cracked up and now the running joke here at home is "oh your so ordinary". Perhaps this woman has not developed past her 8ish year old verbal filter.

Ahhhhh, he left that part out. You know how it is when a 13 year old boy retells a story:D

My son and husband watch the show. I go upstairs with my girls because it freaks my youngest out;) My son said that after the bad c-section that Carl shot Lori so that the zombies would not get to her. There was major disappointment here as well. My son came upstairs when the show was over and said, "I did not like that episode." He did not like that Lori died and that T-Dog was bitten. He also thinks Rick is going to go Insane. So that is what I know from my second hand source:D

You need to ask yourself if you really want it. We have one. It cost several hundred dollars (probably close to a thousand) during the summer to pay for chemicals, topping off the water, and electric. You also have to assume that things will need to be replaced. We have replaced the lights, parts for the filter, and the pump as well as skimmer baskets. Pool toys are a yearly expense as well as goggles (for all the people that show up without them). If you love it and can afford it then that is great. If you do not love it you will resent every penny that it cost.

I think there are much bigger things to get angry or shocked over. My Dad was in the same hospital at the same time as friend of the family's Dad. The friend's Dad died on a Monday and my Dad died a day later. The friends were very casual....blue jeans, some were bikers, some wore shorts, it was all over the place. That was their style. A whole bunch of them came to my Dad's wake (visitation) in their usual attire. My family never even mentioned their attire. Some of us attended their Dad's wake in less casual attire and I certainly do not think anything was said about that either. Just for the record...my children and I had no clothes and no shoes that I thought were appropriate to wear to my Dad's funeral. For the wake and the funeral we had to spend over $500 out of pocket for dress clothes. This was my choice and my standard for myself, not for others. I would hate to know that someone did not come to a memorial because they did not have the money to go out and drop a load of money on something they would never wear again.

My kids all enjoyed the Ingalls homestead. We stayed the night in our RV and had a blast. -
I vote scam. I would never accept a check through a craigslist deal.

My dad died last Wednesday, so this hits home. I think your son and your husband should be at the visitation.
