Night Elf
Dd is in her biology classroom waiting for class to begin. She said a girl in a hot dog costume came in and sat down. Dd figures the girl just needs to catch up on her laundry. Haha!
Rachel
Maybe it is for a sociology class, I took one on deviant behavior that required us to do something weird and write about our experience.
Spryte
Maybe it is for a sociology class, I took one on deviant behavior that required us to do something weird and write about our experience. And that begs the question: what did you do? :) I did this in an undergrad anth class. Three of us appeared in varying degrees of pregnancy, one woman brought her toddler, and we went to the mall with an older male student. It was quite an experience. It wasn't my first choice, but, wow, was it effective for studying the responses of people around us.

ikslo
Maybe she has to go to her job right after class? Are there any hot dog joints nearby?
The Girls' Mom
That wouldn't be terribly out of the ordinary at our college..lol.
AnnE-girl
It could be some sort of sorority pledging assignment too. I'm pretty sure it would violate national Panhellenic rules for pledging, but that doesn't mean sororities wouldn't do it anyway.
Guest
Perhaps she just came from work, and finding parking took so long she wasnt able to change before class.
EmilyGF
A guy friend in high school came in a prom dress and sneakers. He had done a bet with a friend at a coffee shop: if he could eat more sugar packets or she could eat more creamers. Of course she won. Farrar
I love that everyone is coming up with rational explanations. Maybe she's just a kook.

J-rap
Two of my dd's went to an arts high school for one year when we were checking out a new city. I'll never forget their descriptions of the students on that first day: One kid was dressed up in a George Washington type outfit; another kid wore a giant hat all day (probably 20 times the normal size), and on and on and on. No one blinked an eye. It was all, apparently, totally normal.
JustEm
I'm guessing it is for another class. My niece had to do a social experiment for a class. She chose to put vanilla pudding in and old mayo container and eat it on the city bus. She then had to write a paper on the reactions she received
BarbecueMom
There's a guy in the movie Accepted, where a kid sets up a fake college, that has to wear a hot dog suit for something. Every time we make hot dogs, DH or I quote it: "Ask me about my wiener!"
JFSinIL
Maybe it is for a sociology class, I took one on deviant behavior that required us to do something weird and write about our experience. My thought, too. Or she really likes hot dogs.

I was so anxious about doing anything slightly weird that I blew out my little brother's birthday candles. I had his permission but the rest of my family didn't know. I guess it was really more of a prank but I still got an A on my paper.

Julie Smith
I live in a university town. Around town for several months I kept seeing someone who wore a banana costume instead of a winter jacket.
purpleowl
Maybe she wore the costume for Halloween and is thinking she needs to wear it multiple times to make it worth the cost.

Night Elf
Okay, y'all made it sound sort of normal. I wish my dd knew her so she could ask directly.
fraidycat
Okay, y'all made it sound sort of normal. I wish my dd knew her so she could ask directly. Or she could ask her, then get to know her. It'd be a good ice-breaker for conversation.
Murphy101
Okay, y'all made it sound sort of normal. I wish my dd knew her so she could ask directly. Um? So she CAN ask directly? Kid sat next to her. Close enough to ask a non-personal question.😎
Rachel
Okay, y'all made it sound sort of normal. I wish my dd knew her so she could ask directly. Anyone wearing a hotdog costume in class won't mind being asked why.
Alice
Okay, y'all made it sound sort of normal. I wish my dd knew her so she could ask directly. I think if you are the kind of person who wear a hot dog costume to class, you are the kind of person ok with other people asking you about said costume.
