Popular Post Melissa in Australia Posted February 3, 2016 Popular Post Posted February 3, 2016 (edited) So today I had a meeting with placement agency and DHS. They are going to push ahead with Permanent Care Order for twins. that means very very soon we will get guardianship of twins. ( most probably very early March) :hurray: At the end of the meeting the DHS said that the twins progress was one of their (DHS) most successful placements ever and that the progress they have made is way beyond their expectations and faster than they thought possible. (Twins are now functioning at only 12 months behind instead of the 30 months behind that they were when we got them, plus RAD behaviour has reduced dramatically since PTS episode in Sep/Oct) I felt like crying when they told me that. It has been an unbelievable journey. Edited February 3, 2016 by Melissa in Australia 63 Quote

creekland Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 That definitely qualifies as an awesome day! Thank you for all you do for the twins. They may have drawn a short stick in the birth lottery, but they're winners now. 2 Quote

Jaybee Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 That's wonderful, Melissa! I know that not all the days are so awesome, and some days you may wonder about how it's all going to turn out, but the difference you are making in their lives is a huge big deal. 2 Quote

Pink and Green Mom Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 I am continually amazed, awed, and inspired by what you do for these children. I really admire you for what you do. 1 Quote
SKL Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 I'm glad to hear your hard work has been recognized. Also, I'm glad to hear the RAD has decreased, for the sake of peace in your home. The thing these kids need is the thing most people find hardest to give - someone who will never forsake them no matter how bad it gets. Congratulations on a huge success. :) 1 Quote
