Joanne
I told him it's common that someone will pass after visitors. It's like they get closure and give themselves permission to go. Yesterday, Adrian Sr's (my guy is a Jr) sister and her daughters and one of the grandchildren came to visit. He had a roomful of love, touch, memories and laughter. His eyes were open for a little bit. I'm glad they made it before he passed. I'm sad, though, that his other son couldn't come until today - he's due in this afternoon. :angelsad2::crying: It's never easy, no matter how old you or your parent is. littleWMN
:grouphug: It's not easy at all. I lost my dad (63) almost 2 years ago. There are still times I want to pick up the phone and hear him answer, "Hey, Baby". :( Praying for comfort in the coming days.

Halftime Hope
I'm so sorry! I know it is a relief to the family that the suffering is over, but it's such a personal loss to have him gone! I will keep you all in prayer over the next few days. Maybe FIL's passing so soon will, in hindsight, make your dh's decision feel more like "the right one." It did for us. Best wishes for you all!
