  1. :hurray: Glad to see that you all received the order you placed (or that it's been shipped) and snagged such an awesome deal. I bet the people that had their orders cancelled placed more than one.
  2. Well, I'm at my heaviest right now, I need to lose over 100 pounds. When I look at a picture I'm always shocked at how big I am. When I look in the mirror I just don't see the truth! And the whole camera adding 10 pounds thing is just crap. I never think other people look heavier in their pictures, they look exactly the same as I see them IRL. I just don't think it's possible for me to see what I really look like unless I see a picture of myself.
  3.:lol::lol: Well that makes a lot more sense! I was :001_huh: . Imagine what I was thinking, they had to talk to them about personal hygiene?! EWW
  4. How could they be giving you a UTI by visiting you, or vice versa? When you say you all get UTIs afterward, does that mean all at the same time?
  5. I never heard this song before so I went on over to youtube. Wow! Yes your mind is definitely in the gutter! I have a pretty dirty mind and I don't think mine would have gone to where your mind went while listening to this song. But now, thanks to you, it will. :tongue_smilie:
  6. I'm 30ish, I picked up a 2 disc CD set at Costco the other day that I LOVE! It has all of my favorites, I'm not into the newer stuff. It's called Classic Christmas and it has ... Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Nat King Cole, Gene Autry, Ella Fitzgerald, Judy Garland, Burl Ives, and many others! Sorry, I cannot find a link but maybe you have a Costco nearby or you could find it (or something similar) elsewhere.
  7. I don't know anything about these dolls (I'm not sure if they come with stories) but could you just buy the glasses? I was looking for handmade American Girl clothes on ebay and etsy and ran across a few pairs of glasses for 18 inch dolls. HTH!
  8. My thoughts exactly, especially just before Christmas! :glare: I was looking through the thread at slick deals and a few people said that their orders have already been cancelled. I'm wondering though, did they cancel every order or only the people who tried to use the code more than once. Some people over there said they used in 10+ times! one person said they placed their 39th order! :001_huh: Well, I still purchased some pants for my husband. They were on sale already and I received an additional 20% off so thank you! I used the code 4RELVES today and I purchased a couple Paper Jamz and amps. The guitars ended up costing me only $11.99 each and the amps were $6 something a piece!
  9. Well, I would love to know if JCP is really going to cancel all of those orders that used GIVEJOY. Seems like too much of a hassle to me (especially this time of year), and a lot of ticked off customers. But that's what the sales rep told me, and when I googled GIVEJOY a lot of other people were saying that they were told the same. There were some conflicting stories though, some said their sales rep told them that someone hacked into their system and created GIVEJOY and others responded that their sales rep told them that too many people were getting free items. Mine just said that it's a fake promo code floating around the internet. So now I'm curious, did anyone's order get cancelled?
  10. I finally got through to them on their toll free number (their website was impossible). The gentleman said that the code GIVEJOY will not work. He said it's something going around the internet and all orders placed with that code will be cancelled. I told him that others have had success using it and he said eventually those orders will be cancelled but he could give me a 20% off code. I went ahead and took it because it was something I was going to buy anyway. I didn't think to ask him until after I hung up, why were others able to place their orders over the phone and use the code? Wouldn't the sales rep taking the order tell them the order will be cancelled?
  11. Thanks, just downloaded a whole album. And I was just about to buy the CD. Hurry it's not over until 11:59 PST
  12. Wondering what happened when you contacted the bank. When I looked at the website last night I did not see any fine print!!
  13. :iagree:I could have written your post! I voted Yes, I allow it. My husband and I bought a house together before we got married and had a child together before we got married, I would be a hypocrite if I didn't allow it. :D Back then, if someone asked us to stay in separate rooms, I wouldn't have been happy about it. I would not have argued (your house, your rules), I would have told you that we would be staying in a hotel or not coming at all. ETA: To answer your question, it seems like a very old-fashioned value to me.
  14. Uh-oh! This is happening to others... http://richinwriters.com/bidmacs-review/ http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20101122204331AA9tUxm http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20101125170447AAyLipH http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20101126122901AAT0K1v (this one has 1 person saying that they'll get a refund)
  15. Did you try emailing their Customer Support? It says "Help in 30 minutes or less" My Mom was just telling me about this website last week. I'm not sure how long they've been around but hopefully it was a glitch and they'll get it fixed for you quickly.
  16. In the other thread a few of you said you eat before opening presents!! How do you do it? I would love to try this but how do you and the kids handle all of the suspense?! How do you make breakfast relaxing, or is it not? Are any of their presents unwrapped and they saw them first before eating? Do you keep them out of the Christmas room until after breakfast? If you've done it both ways which way was better?
  17. I voted 7am because that's when we get the kids up. We have 4 places to visit on Christmas Day so we need to get up and shower/get dressed at 6am, start breakfast, open presents, eat, get the kids dressed, and get out of the house by 10am. I'm surprised that many of you eat before opening presents, I've never heard of doing it that way, I like it! Poll coming!
  18. I chose other. When we were kids presents from Santa were never wrapped, and so far we have never wrapped the presents that Santa has given our kids. But this year it's going to be a little different. Santa is going to have special, beautiful, wrapping paper and there will be a mixture of wrapped and unwrapped. My daughter is getting a desk, that will have a ribbon and bow around it. Everything on the desk (the accessories) will be wrapped up in the special paper. My son's bike will have a ribbon and bow and all of his smaller items will be wrapped with the special paper. I'm still trying to decide on whether or not to wrap the stocking gifts. We're getting A LOT less this year (because we have too much) and I want it to last longer. My kids are young so I'm hoping they won't remember that Santa has never wrapped presents before this year.
  19. Has anyone confronted MIL yet, asking her if she remembers that she already RSVP'd that she is attending SIL's party, and if so WHY THE HELL WOULD SHE DO SUCH A THING!?!?! I don't think I would be able to keep my mouth shut. In fact, if you give me her phone number I'll gladly let her have it. :D
  20. I'm not positive but I didn't think seller was allowed to leave negative feedback anymore. I'm not sure if that policy has changed or not, it's been a year since I've sold. Maybe someone else can chime in. Most of the time a seller will not pay for return shipping but I think you should ask since it is obviously not in good condition, hopefully they will not have you return it at all and they'll just return the price you paid. Take pics too and offer to email them, they may have honestly overlooked it. Oh, and they should be worried about YOU leaving negative feedback.
  21. This is a great deal, the cheapest I've seen it on here. I bought mine for about $17 and it usually fluctuates between $17 and $21.
