My son needs to do a report on a nonfiction book about any historical topic (preferably not biography) before 1877. He would like the book to 1. be very interesting, 2. be an easy read and 3. not be too long. Thanks for any suggestions. He's 19.

I'd like my 9th grade daughter to take Geography this fall. I have Around the World in 180 Days, and Bob Jones Geography. I don't like either format. Have you used anything that you loved for your high schooler? I'd love something on a cd or dvd, or something very user friendly. Reading a chapter in the Bob Jones book is incredibly boring. There has to be an interesting, fun, geography option out there. Ideas?

We live in the middle of TX. It's been over 9 years since we've been out of state!! Maybe it's time to go somewhere!

My dd (11) was practicing her hip hop dance routine. After she did a backwards roll, she started complaining of back pain. It's now been a week, and her back hurts when she lies down. I've tried giving her advil with meals, but should I break down and take her to the dr? Any ideas?

What curriculum are you using? A high school English credit includes grammar, writing, and Literature....correct? What do you use?? Sonlight? Iew? Combine more than one curriculum? I need some good options here!!
