Blessedwithboys
I'm just curious, how many hive members are planning on reading Dan Brown's new book?

Firefly
I loved The DaVinci Code, but Angels and Demons was a snooze. So I don't know... I may check it out at some point.
MgoBlue
I requested to be placed on the hold list at the library. Hopefully I won't have to wait too long!
Chris in VA
Not me. Can't stand him. :D
OnTheBrink
I loved The DaVinci Code, but Angels and Demons was a snooze. So I don't know... I may check it out at some point. I was the opposite; I liked A&D better than TDVC. I'll most likely pick this up at Sam's Club. I enjoy the stories.

unsinkable
I'll read it --- I hate his books but I like to be in the pop fiction loop.

Rosie_0801
I read the Da Vinci Code and concluded that the advertising campaign was more impressive than the novel. Rosie
PinkInTheBlue
Read the DaVinci Code because the cover looked interesting the bookstore. I didn't know about the hype. Enjoyed it and then read all his others. Bought my copy of Lost Symbol on Kindle yesterday. Hoping for a few moments here and there to read it as soon as possible. He really picked a rotten week to come out with it for me. :) It'll drive me crazy knowing it's there and I don't have time to abandon everyone and read it! Blessedwithboys
So, has anyone finished the book yet? And if so, what did you think of it? I'm still trying to figure out if I like it.
Heather in Neverland
I thought TDVC was hilarious and A&D was pretty good so curiosity will get the best of me and I will get it. :D
dangermom
I feel like I ought to read it (librarian guilt, gotta keep up with these things), but I will be MSTing it in my head. I'm not a fan. :D
Nicole M
I'll read it --- I hate his books but I like to be in the pop fiction loop. Do you have to shower after you read them? I tried, but felt so dirty. So used and abused....
EKS
Meeeeeee! I loved the others.
LibraryLover
I'm curious, so I put it on hold. I am about 330 in the ILL queue. :glare: So it will be awhile. :tongue_smilie:
Cammie
So, has anyone finished the book yet? And if so, what did you think of it? I'm still trying to figure out if I like it. Finished it! I liked it. I mean he is no great writer but the books are fun and interesting. Makes me want to go to DC and check out those paintings and places! I liked the really good twist near the end (I won't spoil it for others). I read TDVC and Angels and Demons. I re-read AD when we were in Rome this summer - that was cool. Reading about the place and then going and seeing it! I feel if it gets people thinking and interested in history - it is a good thing! BTW - I was wodering how those on this forum who insist that the US founding fathers had a strong "Christian" foundation will react.
Stacia
I'll probably read it as I thought the others were fairly fun & interesting reading. I'll get it from the library, though, so I'll wait awhile before requesting it....
Slartibartfast
I decided if I was going to read trash it might as well be trashy trash trash and bought a couple Chuck Palahniuk books instead since I like his stories better (but he is more vulgar X1000000)
TraceyS/FL
I don't know what place I am in at the library, so I'll read it at some point. I couldn't get into A&D until recently. Tried when it came out and just couldn't read much of it. I'll only have a week with this one so I hope that doesn't happen again! Lol! linders
DaVinci Code was a good read, and I didn't have any problem with it - just took it for fiction. I hope the latest is equally good - Angels and Demons (his earlier book) wasn't up to Code.
