Tohru
Netflix only suggests movies or shows that are related to ones I've already watched. I enjoy a huge variety, but don't know what titles to search for. Please give me suggestions on your favorites :) I like documentaries, sci-fi, fantasy, spooky, serious, dramas, foreign... T'smom
I just finished the latest season of Switched at Birth and really enjoyed it. It is sortof a family drama about two girls who find out that they were switched in the hospital. One of them is deaf. One family is rich and one poor and they are trying to sortof merge their family.

Closeacademy
If you go online to their site not through the app, you can see listings of everything they have arranged by type and a-z. You just have to browse through it a bit. I find lots of good things like that. For example, I get a limited number of documentary listing when I go to Netflix for the list I made for school but going to the site, I was able to find tons of things. SporkUK
If you want a wide range, I've found http://my.newonnetflix.info/ really interesting and helpful. You can look in your region and it has lists of both the new stuff and - more useful to me - things that are about to expire. I typically check it a couple times a month, usually near the end, when the new month's lists come out to make sure I don't miss things I kept meaning to watch and have found a few other gems (and of course duds) along the way. Southern Ivy
Have you ever used The Netflix ID Bible? :) It has a lot of different categories you can search by. So, you put in this code: http://www.netflix.com/WiAltGenre?agid=INSERTNUMBERThen, you replace INSERTNUMBER with the number associated with the genre you want (listed on the link I gave you). So, if I wanted to watch Disney movies I would use the code: 67673Like so: http://www.netflix.com/WiAltGenre?agid=67673 It has helped me find a lot of good stuff. Hope that helps!

stephanier.1765
We just watched River . . . British, detectivey, the main character sees dead people . . . or he's just crazy. Just watch it. It's awesome. I'm in the middle of watching this too. "Awesome" is the perfect word to describe it. So I'm going through them slowly so I can savor each one of them. :)
