SKL
I'll start by saying I know this is obscene. I went a little nuts and so did some other people... I have 2 girls who are about 7. They are getting: about 100 books about 50 educational DVDs a real bow & arrows (to share) Power Rangers play sets a junior-sized ping-pong table gymnastics leotards / shorts clothes from Justice microscope rainbow loom stuff movie DVDs DS game cartridges pajamas probably other stuff I'm not remembering or don't know about yet.... I also bought them a new desk and chair which was set up over the past week. They don't think it is for Christmas, but I do.... Miss E's birthday is in a couple of weeks, so I may pull some of this stuff out for that day. Though we already told her we'd go shopping for new bathing suits etc. for her birthday at Disney World....

SKL
100 books....I just gotta know...did you wrap them all individually? Thanks for adding your post....I was feeling lonely on the 'went nuts' side. LOL! Most of them were in sets, conveniently boxed together. ;) I did not wrap them yet. But, I bought a number of rolls of different green paper, and my thought is to wrap them up in chunks and stack the books and DVD sets up like a Christmas tree. LOL. Topped with the booklights I bought. (Forgot to add the booklights above . . . and the knitting stuff . . . I'd better stop now...)
LucyStoner
I bought my 6 year old niece Legos and some American Girl books. My husband is getting the converse all stars I found for him for $1, Theo's 85% dark chocolate bar ($2) and whatever else I find for him today with the remainder of my $10 budget for him. $10 is our traditional limit for each other but my husband violates it shamelessly by getting me something just because near but not on Christmas. Occasionally I have violated it but not often or by much. I keep the spirit, if not the letter, of the law.

jillian
Honestly if I listed everything from not just us but the grandparents it is ridiculous. Under my tree looks crazy without the grandparent gifts already.
Cascadia
Almost-6-year-old DD is getting (all from her Santa list): Zing Air Hunterz Z-curve bow w/extra "arrows" Roller skates Soccer ball plus stocking stuffers (coloring book, new coloring pencils, hair accessories, bracelets) From grandparents she is getting: puppet theater w/Peter Pan character puppets (hangs in a doorway with a tension rod, so it won't take up too much space) a few Thornton Burgess books We *try* to limit gifts for the kids to three - one from Santa, one from Mom & Dad, and one from sibling. Our 2-year-old DS is getting an extra one this year ;) (My book-gobbling DD would love to get 50-100 books, but I don't know where we would put them! We're seriously running out of book storage space right now.) DH is getting some guitar-tuning items that he purchased for himself, and I am getting a book that I purchased for myself. Normally we do better on gifts for each other, but we'd like to spend less this year so we just got token gifts so that the kids see us unwrap something.
