GreenKitty
Seems it's playing at every store we go to. I end up singing at home and and someone will point out that it's too early to be sing them. Though I don't even realize I'm doing it! I guess if it's a catchy tune, I will sing:)
Hikin' Mama
Yes! I'm usually Scrooge-like about listening to Christmas music before Thanksgiving, but I just bought the Elf soundtrack and was listening to it last night. It put me in a great mood! Lizzie in Ma
I usually wait til the day after Thanksgiving, but I've had some Classical Christmas on lately, seem to need it this year.
mlbuchina
We have. There is a local station on the radio that starts playing Christmas music in November, so I switch to them and listen till the day after Christmas. I love Christmas songs. :D
Heatherwith4
Yes. For a week now. :)
Catwoman
Yup. :) I have already heard Dominick the Donkey and the Chipmunk Christmas song, and am waiting for Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer. It's all about the classics for me. ;) Whenever I'm in the car, I keep flipping back and forth between the Love station and 40's on 4, because both are playing Christmas music all the time now. Laura Cook
We started yesterday! I prefer to wait until after Thanksgiving, but the kids were begging to listen to the new CD my mom bought them. They are cute so I gave in!
vonfirmath
YES. I listen to Christmas music on and off year round as the mood strikes
*Lulu*
Yes and no. I don't start playing Christmas music around the house for casual listening before Thanksgiving. I do pull out my vocal and piano music and start practicing the stuff for Advent well in advance of the season. (I'm not as bad as one of our pianist though; Advent music is his favorite and he pulls it out in July to start working on it!)
Lady Florida.
No. No. NO! It's not even Thanksgiving yet.
Library Momma
I recently discovered that I can change the ring tone on my house phone, and one of the options is "We Wish you a Merry Christmas." I changed it a few days ago and now it's starting to get old. I don't think if it will make it to December.
mytwomonkeys
i listened to it last night while putting my tree up :) we are going out of town & i wanted it up when we got back, lol. my husband walked in from work last night & thought i had lost my mind. ErinE
Noooooo! For the love of all jingle bells and rooftop reindeer, no Christmas music before Thanksgiving. After Thanksgiving! To each season, its own holiday. Of course, this only holds true in the US. I have no idea for any other country. Perhaps the beginning of Advent? gardenmom5
I listen to classical Christmas music - yes, I've listened to my king's college choir cd. I don't listen to santa music. almost ever. I'm also in choir at church - so we are practicing/learning Christmas stuff.
ksr5377
We're writing our letters to Santa today so that I will be prepared for all the Thanksgiving Day questions about what the kids would like for Christmas. Halfway through my oldest DD said this would all be much better with Christmas music playinh, so now it is!
AK_Mom4
I have been listening to jazzy Christmas music every single day for more than a month as both kids here at home are having concerts in the next few weeks. Practice, Practice, Practice! It gets stuck in my head and then I find myself humming and singing it all day. I have been holding back on the Christmas music, but will admit to having started listening heavily to my "winter" instrumentals - Turtle Island, Kenny G (DD12's current favorite), some organ and piano music. A few songs are technically Christmas, but for the most part I am waiting another week.
beaners
We have the yule log DVD on right now. I've been popping it in here and there since October. LOL It is very out of character for me to do much Christmas-y.
vonfirmath
Why is it that we listen to most of our music year round, but people get all upset when Christmas music is listened to year round? Is there any other music that needs to be set in its place and only listened to for a subset of the year?
Jerico
Since july. But i always must follow up with that is instrumental or hymns, not modern day christmas music (which mostly drives me batty).
twoxcell
Yes my dh brought out the Christmas music and movies on November 1st. ;)
Spy Car
Son is working on Silent Night and Come All Ye Faithful as his piano pieces at the moment. We also listened to a recording of Dorati conducting Tchaichovsky's The Nutcracker (which I associate with Christmas) the other night. So we are dipping our toes in the water. milovany
We sang the first nativity troparia/song at vespers last night! Still not ready to hear it out in public or at home, but I love it when the turning happens liturgically. :)

Guest
Yup. I'm waiting until Thanksgiving night to break out the MP3s and the sheet music, but I can't tune out my five year old's beautiful, clear boy soprano singing the wrong words for "Jingle Bell Rock" and I certainly wouldn't want to if I could. :)

LucyStoner
As soon as the Thanksgiving dishes are done in Thursday night, Punk Rock Christmas goes in. Which is followed by a James Brown Christmas. Nothing until then. Standards and traditions people, standards and traditions.
