KnitWit
He was quite possibly my all-time favorite actor. Maybe we need to hide from the heat and have an "Andy Griffith Show" marathon in his honor today. (Or Matlock...LOVED that show)

(Or Matlock...LOVED that show) :iagree: The Andy Griffith show is easily my favorite show of all time, and I used to be a Matlock junkie in my tween/early teen years. Spy Car
Sad. The Andy Griffith Show was part of childhood. For those who have never seen Griffith's powerful turn in the film "A Face in the Crowd" I highly recommend it. This one really shows his range as an actor. RIP Mr Griffith. Bill :iagree: Amazing film! Lonesome Rhodes was an incredible character, and Andy just nailed it. Perfectly. I still think he should have received an Academy Award for that role. Next airing: Friday, July 6th 1:45 AM, TCM. Set your DVRs. Edited July 3, 2012 by DianeW88
