  1. In order of release because the great reveal will lose it's power if you watch them in chronological order. I would also just skip watching #1. It's a dumb movie. :leaving:
  2. Our church doesn't want tithed money that was earned from gambling. Playing the lottery is gambling. So, no to buying lottery tickets.
  3. I don't care so much about the bedrooms because I can just close the door. My younger girls spread their mess around the house. When one area gets too cluttered to play they just move on to the next room. My basement is a disaster and the school room is unusable. They are into crafting these days so it's mostly bits of paper & cardboard, empty glue containers, pencils, markers, you name it. I do break down and help them clean because it's overwhelming for an adult but they don't want to throw anything away! I used to have bins and containers for all of the toys but they would dump those out and then end up breaking the container. :glare: I have donated so many toys and try to tell the grandparents that they don't need any more toys. It's a never ending struggle here.
  4. I have the Jawbone Move with a wrist strap. I love it. I had the UP but the button pooped off so I downgraded to the Move. I like it because I can track activity with the timer.
  5. :grouphug: DH just told me today that his company is eliminating the group he works in (IT also) but in his case they are moving everyone into different groups. They've been cutting down the size of his group for about 6 months now so it's not a huge shock.
  6. That makes sense as breastfeeding makes your uterus contract (at least initially).
  7. The Stacy one looks like it has a smaller compartment.
  8. It helps to explain Morgan's thought processes about not killing people and how he got there. It was a bit long and slow though. I knew the goat was going to die as soon as we saw her. I was hoping that Eastman wouldn't die. I was sadder about him dying than any of the Alexandria people that have died.
  9. Congratulations!! I'm about halfway to my goal. Started at the beginning of this year.
  10. We have a Roku and DH found a program called PlayOn which allows you to play anything that you find on your computer through the Roku. I didn't realize that one of the shows we watch started a couple of weeks ago. I was able to watch the episodes I missed by using PlayOn. In the past I would have had to watch it on the computer.
  11. I can read in the car only if I can't see outside the windows. So I have to position the book so I can only see the interior of the car. For me, the moving scenery while trying to read is what makes me queasy.
  12. My 13 yo says to put it in a ponytail because you don't want the hair to get into your eyes. If her hair is long enough I would do a low ponytail at the nape of the neck. A French braid would also work.
  13. They read books to the seniors in the "memory" ward of a local assisted living facility. It's really hard to find something for that age group. The only other thing I was able to find was reading books to the shelter animals. Since all kids have to volunteer to graduate from high school, most of the activities are reserved for the 16+ age group.
  14. Normally I would pick Gatlinburg over Atlanta but because of the time of year I would choose Atlanta for this trip. There's the possibility of snow in the mountains which means that the scenic roads will be closed. We did a trip to Asheville at the end of October and it was getting very cold. The day after we left it snowed and they closed down the road that we had been driving on all week.
  15. Use a pressure cooker. I have an electric one that I use. It makes it very tender in a short amount of time.
  16. I ended up cutting one of my DD's hair because she kept putting it in her mouth. I warned her that I would have to cut it if she didn't stop and so we cut it. It was nasty and smelled like spit. :drool5: I think she was 4-5 when I had to do that. She doesn't do it now and her hair is long enough to reach her mouth. Sometimes we have to help them break bad habits. :grouphug:
  17. Thanks. I got the calculator for my 13 yo. She's been playing around with it but a book would be very helpful.
