  1. I learned the clarinet when I was in grade school. Did marching band and concerts with our school. Didn't continue in high school. It's been forever since I've played. My kids want to learn piano so I'm going to have to learn that to teach them.
  2. I had my last one a couple of weeks before I turned 42. My OB wanted me to see a high risk OB just because of my age. We have really crappy insurance and didn't have the money to pay for that. So, I made a compromise with the doc that if the screening ultrasound was abnormal that I would go to the high risk doc. It was normal and so I continued as I had with my other pregnancies. For my 4th I was also AMA (36) but they somehow missed that so I didn't get harassed with that pregnancy at all.
  3. Here's another one. http://www.ehow.com/how_5959912_make-animals-out-baby-clothes.html
  4. Khan Academy has both micro and macro economics courses now.
  5. :hurray: Awesome! I turned 42 the month after my youngest was born.
  6. Congratulations on the new job! Prayers that your house sells quickly.
  7. Since it's family, I'd ask them to park so that they don't block your access to the driveway. Maybe have a set place where they can be.
  8. We put an air mattress over the thin mattress that comes with the sofa.
  9. :hurray: I need to start with my 2.5 yo.
  10. My DH and I are similar politically but yet we have different opinions on who to vote for. I didn't vote my 1st choice because that person dropped out before our primary. I was tempted to vote for that person anyway since the name was still on the ballot but DH did convince me that it would be a throw-away vote as my 2nd choice did need the votes to help the person who won our state to not collect all the delegates.
  11. It depends on which of my girls it is. I will send the youngest (just turned 8) with a sibling. My 10 (soon to be 11) also with a sibling. It's usually the 8 & 10 yo together. But their older sister I would let go alone at 10. We have a playground at the entrance to our subdivision. I would let the younger girls go but only with one of their older siblings.
  12. :grouphug: I was talking to the SIL of a neighbor. She mentioned that her DD was going to be graduating high school. I said something about her being excited to be going to college. The mom turned to me and said her DD had Down's and would never go to college. I felt about an inch tall.
  13. :grouphug: :grouphug: So sorry for your loss. I don't know why death brings out the worst in people. :grouphug: :grouphug:
  14. You do have to break them in for them to be comfortable. I have that style and the one that wraps around the toe.
  15. I'm 44 and it said 36. After the test you can change the answers to see how it would affect your age. I never go to the doctor. I changed that answer and it knocked 2 more years off my age.
  16. I don't let them but the younger two do it all the time. It's a daily battle here. I don't think that they would do it at someone else's house.
  17. My husband had to do that (he works remotely). I think he ended up at McDonald's because the library had weird hours. Although I have seen people sitting outside the library when it's closed so they could use the connection.
  18. I'd take a couple of trips to where you're thinking of moving to and see if you like it. We're thinking of moving to NC in the next 1-2 years. We have vacationed there several times and will go to a few new places to see where we want to settle down. My husband works remotely so we can move anywhere. Our current area has 8 new subdivisions going in (2 mile radius) and no plans for road expansion. Our traffic is pretty bad right now and will only get worse.
  19. :grouphug: So sorry for your loss. :grouphug:
