Jean in Newcastle
The cavalry (aka dh) is coming. After 3 hours of work, the turn signals still won't work. lanalouwho
Kinder for all of the core subjects are completely different than when we started. The content subjects we have stayed the course, mostly. I only adjusted the pacing on those. But I sort of planned on changing as we learned what worked for us, so in that regard my plan worked perfectly. Sent from my HTCD160LVW using Tapatalk I forgot about the SL. I have SL4/5 core and have just been reading the books. Periodically. I should have known that what kind of worked for Dancer would not work for Gymnast. Barely. Sigh. Even the core stuff, well except Shiller math. And she lost the blocks. Double sigh. But, it looks like it will work in the long-term because it doesn't include much writing or a workbook. MEP has a math journal pulled out periodically; I stapled some sheets of folded paper together and she likes that.

Junie
Dd6 is doing first grade this year. Unless I have another baby, this is our last time. Abeka Letters and Sounds Abeka Arithmetic Beast Academy (occasional supplement) U.S. Geography (all of the kids together, during lunch) I think that's it. I'm kind of a minimalist at this grade level.

I'm kind of a minimalist at this grade level. Yeah, I was looking at my thread and people do *a lot* for first grade. Then everyone complains that their kids never remember anything from before 3rd. Why am I spending 4 hours a day on something they won't remember?
