lynn
And won't have a shipping address😪. Can't send him a Christmas or birthday gift😢. As if deployment isn't hard enough on a Navy mom.ðŸ˜. He believes he'll have internet to keep in contact🙄. He did enlist for the adventure so I am all the feels......happy ,sad, anxious and proud Edited September 21, 2021 by lynn 22
Danae
Oh, that does sound hard. I hope he really will have internet access, and you can save up his gifts for when he returns.
theelfqueen
My AF kid is currently deployed but is quite reachable - even regular WhatsApp... I think that sounds extra hard.

Kassia
That is very hard. I hope has internet access so you can keep in touch. I think of military moms often when I feel sad about my kids being *far away* for school and jobs - having deployed kids must be so much more difficult and stressful! Big hugs to you.
stephanier.1765
Hugs to you! My son and his wife are moving them and their kids hundreds of miles away. I'm so sad I can hardly stand it so I sort of know where you are coming from. At least we can still text and e-mail. I do hope there will be some way for you to connect over this time.💗

Is the no shipping address a permanent thing? Is that because he’s on a ship? I’m utterly clueless about the Navy.
chiguirre
I was planning on buying dd a bunch of kindle books and downloadable movies when she deploys. There's so little storage in a coffin rack that physical items may not fit anyway. If he doesn't have a Switch and likes to game, I'd give him one as a Birthday/Christmas/Bon Voyage gift.
