You mentioned you were wanting to lose some weight. Have you cut back on your food?

Nope, low blood sugar makes me shaky not dizzy.

I'm eating plenty and this is an all day thing.

I'm a little off kilter when walking around and if I lie down it feels like everything is spinning.

I get that from time to time. I think it’s that ear crystal thing. For me, it eventually goes away.

Years ago, I got dizzier and dizzier over the course of a few days until the world was spinning out of control, and I was puking my guts out.   I am not a "puker" and I am not prone to dizziness.  I was staggering around and puking in a trash can, because I literally could not make it to the bathroom.   Two people had to drag me out of work, and then drive me home.  Everyone thought I was drunk or dying.    It was insane.

I was terrified.

I went to the dr the next day and he pulled out the most disgusting huge ball of ear wax.   It's not like I never went to the Dr, and it had been growing in there for decades or something.  I was absolutely fine afterwards.   I could not believe it was such a stupid simple little thing!

My point being, just because you don't feel fluid-y or ear pain it still could be ear wax.

If you keep getting dizzier and get so nauseated you start puking, I would go to the Dr and ask him to check your ears.

A year ago I had some dizziness that the dr diagnosed as a virus that was affecting my inner ear. I didn't have an ear infection or any pain, just a fever, tiredness, and occasional bouts of feeling dizzy.

I hope yours goes away soon!

I had this about a month ago. My guess is a virus based on your other symptoms.

I had this about a week and a half ago and it was AWFUL.  It wasn't "faint" dizzy, but vertigo dizzy.  Usually I drink a lot of water when I feel a little off, but that didn't help and the vertigo was INSANE.  Could barely walk straight.  Went to Urgent Care (thinking ear infection), and they sent me straight to the ER because they said sudden onset dizziness can be a sign of stroke.  I didn't have any other symptoms, but off to the ER we went.  Turns out it was the BPPV, and the ER dr showed me how to do these  exercises.  After doing them a few times the vertigo was gone.  But just an FYI - the exercises will make you more dizzy at first.  Unpleasant, but effective for me!

Hope you feel better soon!  It was such a terrible feeling to have the room spinning...

Sit in a chair and slowly move your head into various positions, looking left, right, up, down, up left, up right, etc. Next try it laying down. If you find one or more positions that make the room spin it is most likely BPPV. It is very easily fixed - look on youtube for the Epley maneuver, but even better would be to find a ENT specialist or a physical therapist to do it. I had a much better response when someone else did it than when I did it myself.

I'll try this, seems it can't hurt.

So do you all think I would be best off going to a doctor...or waiting to see if things improve in the next few days?

I say go see a doctor, Maize.  You have lots of babies counting on you... and best to be on the safe side rather than worrying what it could be.

I've never seen a doctor for mine or even mentioned it (it only happens once every few years). BUT .  . it is/was a very common thing among the women in my family. My grandmother had it, my mother had it. Shoot, even my MIL has it occasionally. So I've always felt comfortable waiting it out and self treating with Dramamine or Bonine, and I've never had it last longer than a couple of days, which fits the family pattern. But of course it's never a bad idea to go get stuff like that checked out. It's the safe thing to do. And if you're BF (am I remembering that right?) I'm guessing you don't  want to take any meds. Which is all the more reason to go see a doc. Maybe the maneuver will help, and it's probably best to do that with guidance the first time?

Sounds like vertigo, and the benign positional one is most likely. For my dh who had recurring episodes that laid him flat for 3 days each, he did see an ENT and then a specialist and his turned out to be not BPPV but a form of Menier's (sp?). He was not accurately diagnosed until the specialist saw him in the midst of an attack and he could rule out BPPV. I now always think inner ear stuff for vertigo issues.

You could see a doctor just to rule out something like a stroke which I doubt it is but just to be on the safe side...

In the meantime, use your whole hand and go barefoot so that the more nerves can then send more signals to your brain and help you stay balanced. Move slowly and carefully and don't crane your neck too much.
