Anne in CA
Since ds went back to college this fall dd (15), dh and I watch WAY too much TV. We were really not like that before, but without anyone to preform for dh and dd no longer play any instruments, there isn't anyone to take lessons from anyway, and we cook and eat and watch TV for a hobby. I still quilt and dd does some art, but not enough to make a dent in our spare time, when we are really too tired for big projects. What is something fun for 3 people to do when they dont have a ton of energy. We did puzzles for awhile, but we don't have a lot of room to lay them out, so they have to be put down in the restaurant and they get in the way. Guest
Gin rummy. Banangrams Scrabble UNO Sorry Othello Sequence Monopoly I actually prefer fewer players on these games. I have an only, by the way.
*Lulu*
Fluxx There is not a version we have played that we have not liked. I like Martian and Zombie best. My oldest likes Monster and Pirate.
Tanaqui
Carcassonne works fine with 3 players, if you get the travel edition. Ditto quirkle (including ditto on travel edition!)

Tammi K
Set. Not a board game but great for 3 people of any age. ETA: I agree with 7 Wonders. I generally hate board games but I enjoy this.

Liz CA
We used to play old-fashioned Rummy, Apples to Apples, Life and Clue, Scattegories and Scrabble as well.
LucyStoner
Our kitchen table game box right now has SET, cards for Krypto, toothpicks for Nim, 15 coins for coin-o, Quiddler, Scrabble Slam, Bananagrams and a little Yahtzee type game in a small tin. And frog hopper. All are fun for 2-3 people. The larger board games that see the most use are Blockus, Chess, Settlers of Catan (new to us) and Aggravation. Serenade
We played Yahtzee today and it was very fun. Yahtzee is a great little game that doesn't require a whole lot of thought and is relatively quick. It is one of the first games our kids learned to play, but DH and I always enjoy it, too.
