Julie in CA
If you ordered chocolate fondue in a restaurant, what things do you want to dip in the chocolate? Ideas: pineapple chunks strawberries banana chunks pound cake cinnamon croutons homemade marshmallows cheesecake bites Anyone want to add to my list? kewb
I tend to stick with the marshmallows and banana when I order chocolate fondue.
SpecialClassical
My daughter had a party recently and had pretzels for dipping in the fondue.

Dandelion
My faves are strawberries, bananas, and pound cake. To add to your list, I've also seen rice krispie treats and brownies offered with chocolate fondue.
OrganicAnn
We did lots of different fruit but mainly banana, strawberries, pineapple, blueberries. We do angel food cake or pound cake and marshmallows. I like the pretzel idea if it is those big soft pretzels cut into pieces.

Renthead Mommy
Salty pretzels. Kiwi is really good. Frozen cookie dough bits.
Starr
I think I've heard of some candy bar pieces being yummy in fondue.
Mom0012
It looks like you have it pretty much covered. The pound cake and cheesecake would be my favorites. Yum!
Audrey
This will sound a little weird, but last year I had chocolate fondue at a wedding reception and they had applewood smoked bacon. It was cooked crisp and you used the little pinchers to dip it instead of the forks. It was very, very good. Strange, in a way, but oh so delightful. I would have gone back for more, but I think it was the first thing polished off. LOL!
bolt.
Chewy caramels Marachino cherries (dried) Canned mandarin orange segments (drained and dried) Lady finger cookies Plain shortbread cookies Blackberries As mentioned: strawberries, banana chunks, pinapple, kiwi fruit
Chris in VA
Just make sure the fruit (I'm specifically thinking of pineapple) is dry, or the choc won't stick. We love fondue around here!
Ellie
Cream cheese, rolled into little balls and dredged in cinammon. Yummo. I'm happy with bananas, strawberries, marshmallows, and cream cheese. :-) The pineapple doesn't sound good to me. o_0 I don't think pretzels would be a good fondue dipper, although they might taste yummy. Fondue is using a fork to grab the food and dipping it in the chocolate...you can't exactly do that with a pretzel...Similarly, you might have problems with pound cake. Not sure what a "cinnamon crouton" is.o_0

They call it Muddy Pigs. They were selling it next to the hamburger on Krispy Kream doughnut buns.

It is the favorite of my entire family...even my super-duper picky kiddos! I love cheesecake bites dipped in fondue. And fruit. And, and, and, just plain chocolate fondue!!! Harriet Vane
I have had fondue with all the things you named, and they are wonderful. I tend to think that candy dipped in fondue is just too much sweetness, too much candy. Fruit is waaaaaay better with fondue. One that is not on your list that is delicious are mandarin oranges. I have had angel food cake with fondue as well.
GraciebytheBay
Oh my...So I got on WTM this afternoon to try to distract myself from eating the bowl of Bliss chocolates out in the kitchen and what do I do? Spend my time reading and drooling over this thread!!! I have problems! Btw cheesecake and chocolate fondue? :w00t: :001_wub:
Rosie_0801
Am I boring for requesting apple? Mars bar fondue is better than plain chocolate. Just in case anyone needed to know... :p
