fairfarmhand
Our Jersey cow, Blossom had her first baby with no problems at all! In about 5 days, I will begin milking. Wish me luck. It can be complicated getting milking started.

fairfarmhand
bull calf. This is this heifer's first baby and she just did marvelous. No problems at all. She stood very still to let him nurse too. I am so impressed cause she has been so skittish, but she let me help him!

momofsbandeg
I grew up on a dairy farm. I used to love feeding the calves with "baby" bottles. I still remember what the powered milk smelled like. We loved our Jerseys.

Twigs
Look what I found in the pasture this afternoon! This reminds me of my grandmother's journals. There were never any calves born - they were just "found"! Also, none of my grandmother's friends or family was ever mentioned of being pregnant or expecting a baby. She either wrote about the new baby or that she went to a stork shower. I guess those topics were just not discussed, or at least never written down! BYW - your new baby is just precious! simka2
Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Look at the cute pink ears!!!! Right now, dh does not have kind feeling towards cows.
