simka2
Comfortable, suitable for being around the house in. Non-frumpy and reasonably priced. I just like skirts, so this really is not a modesty issue. (especially, because they will probably be worn with tank tops. ;) Know of any great sources? elegantlion
TJ Maxx/Marshalls used to have decent skirts. Also try Ross.

Especially if you are not a plus-sized woman, you'll find lots of skirts there.

Desert Rat
I've found 2 skirts in as many months at Salvation Army. I just love them. It takes a few trips to find them sometimes, but at $3 a piece, you can't beat it.

purplemama
KMart actually has some nice skirts. I don't shop there much, but recently was looking for flip flops after the summer stuff was already gone from stores, so I was scouring everywhere. I ended up in KMart and was really shocked to see nice, stylish skirts, for a decent price. I like skirts too, and if you know how to sew, there is a great book called "Sew what! Skirts" that helps you draft patterns from your measurements. I LOVE the first skirt I made and am planning on making a few more next weekend. justamouse
I've had a hard time with skirts at the departments stores because long skirts seemed to be in, and I look better in an A line hitting my knees. So I picked mine up at the thrift stores. I found this *amazing* vintage Evan Picone skirt-I mean it must have been in someone's nana's closet for years and by the tag I found out it's 50s or 60s. Not that I'm wearing it anytime soon, but you can find some amazing stuff. That one I got in a 2 $ bag sale. :001_smile:

Brilliant
I like skirts too, and if you know how to sew, there is a great book called "Sew what! Skirts" that helps you draft patterns from your measurements. I LOVE the first skirt I made and am planning on making a few more next weekend. My dd has made several skirts from this book and they all turned out so cute. Skirts are easy to sew - even if you haven't sewn a lot before. Soror
I hit up Goodwill whenever I'm in there and often find something I like.
aggieamy
Talbots always has cute skirts. Of course, I buy my Talbots skirts at the goodwill. Most of my clothes come from there actually. :001_smile:
sweetbasil
I really like Patagonia, REI, Kuhl, Mountain Hardwear, etc. for everyday skirts. They are cute, comfortable, resist stains, wash up well, and tend not to wrinkle. You can search REI's site for a great selection.
Negin
I do so wish that skirts would be sold/suggested/displayed with matching/suitable tops. I have the hardest time finding tops to go with skirts. Because of that, I seldom buy skirts. Drives me nuts.
Cera
Athleta is similar to Title 9 and has nice skirts.
