I had a little trickle of water breaking at 9:30, very short contractions starting at 2 am, active (but quite manageable) labor from about 5 or 5:30 am, arrived at the hospital at 7:30 am, and Gabriel arrived at 7:56 am. Good thing I wasn't planning on an epidural! Here is a link to his picture on the hospital photographer's website. The blanket behind him was crocheted by yours truly! He's doing great, though according to dh that's up for debate. I think dh would like a newborn who sleeps 9 hour stretches, LOL. He generally has a 2 am feeding and then one or two more before morning, but I am fine with that. He's asleep now at 8:50, after feeding last at 5 am. So I need to go wake him up!
