  1. Thank you! I think we will take a look at level 3. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  2. Which level of Beast Academy would you start with for a child who hasn't used it before? He is 10, and his regular math is Singapore. Older dd used a level or two of BA when it first came out, and I think ds will enjoy it. I just don't know where to start! Thanks. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  3. No advice, just following this because I have a 10 year old interested in game programming also. Hoping you get some helpful replies! Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  4. I will be teaching Apologia's elementary chemistry and physics for grades 4-6 at our co-op next year. We will assign book work at home and labs/enrichment in the weekly class. It may work for up to grade 8. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  5. I was looking at the GC course Chemistry 2nd edition. I guess I should research on here if people don't like it? I know the chemistry 101 dvds are not rigorous, (but they are enjoyable) and that is why I am looking to do a curriculum at home as well. I will take a look at Spectrum. Any other suggestions would be helpful as well! Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  6. My upcoming 11th and 9th graders will be in a chemistry class at our co-op next year that will use Chemistry 101. This class will give them roughly 50 hours of work toward a chemistry credit. At home I would like them to work through a curriculum and do more labs. We may also incorporate videos from Great Courses, or something, as needed. What curriculum and labwork would you recommend we use, knowing they will be working through the Chemistry 101 materials in a class which we will consider a supplement? Thank you! 7. Here are the current plans for our daughter. Still a little to figure out. Math: Algebra 1 English: co-op writing class, and a literature list that is still being worked on, and maybe fix-it grammar History: world history using great courses lectures and a text TBD Science: hopefully chemistry at co-op Foreign language: ASL 1 and 2 at the CC General Psychology at CC Fine Arts: drama and choir at co-op PE: karate at co-op and volleyball Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  8. I will probably be teaching a high school writing class at our co-op next year. Leadership would like essay writing and a research paper to be covered over the 20 week class (meets 1 hour each week). Do you have any suggestions for curriculum or other resources to use for this? Thoughts on how to structure the class? Any ideas to get me started would be helpful! Thank you.
  9. If you used the Kolbe plans, what would I need to have to get the answers as well? I looked at also just doing the assessments in the book, buy again don't have answers? Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  10. What do you use for tests for the macaw biology book? I have been searching but am having trouble finding tests to use. Thank you. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  11. Has anyone used Auto Upkeep with your new drivers? I am checking into it after hearing it mentioned by a couple friends, and am looking for reviews. http://www.homeschool.autoupkeep.com Thanks! Michelle Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  12. The physics book on the website is the 12th edition. We have the high school edition though. I can't find anything showing whether it will work with the course or not. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  13. A question about the textbook for the self directed study. We have the conceptual physics high school version of the textbook. Will that be compatible with the course on the website? Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  14. We are considering a math games class for our co-op for next year for grades 4-6. We will meet for 18 weeks over the school year for one hour each week. Does anyone have any suggestions for resources to set this up? Thanks! Michelle Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  15. Thank you! That will be helpful. Any other thoughts? Has anyone else used conceptual physics as a base for a co-op class? Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
