  1. So far in quarantine, I've bought mostly necessities. However this week, Facebook ad have targeted all my weak spots! Paula's Choice -- % off plus free shipping?! No brainer! Time to restock my regulars. I've also been suckered into some new things: Poo-pouri (don't judge me! It was basically BOGO!) and Flat Iron Pepper Co. (planning ahead - these are for DH's Father's Day gift - he's a heat freak). I almost bought some magical pony tail holder that is (supposedly) the Best Thing Ever...but I practiced some restraint. Anyone else need to put down the phone and walk away? What have you bought?
  2. We have an Amazon fire stick which allows us to access Netflix, Hulu, prime, Disney+, etc. It was relatively inexpensive (Black Friday). We'd like to eventually just upgrade to a tv with it all built in (less cords), but it works for now!
  3. My parents are making plans to see us at the end of May. Idk if it'll happen...but they're planning.
  4. Every few days, the girls and I go out and decorate the walkway with sidewalk chalk. It lasts a few days, and then it rains and we repeat. We've been working collaboratively; each of us completes one square to create the final picture. Here's today:
  5. I was a bridesmaid 10 years ago and spent $200 on the dress + alterations. The bride paid for our shoes...
  6. We tend to have broccoli and rice with salmon. Or sometimes butter/garlic/soy noodles and stick the broccoli in that.
  7. Ooh yum! I'm gonna try this! We love buffalo chicken and we love pasta...sounds like a win!
  8. Takeout! We usually eat out after church, but online church doesn't last as long as regular church, lol, and the Mexican place we wanted wasn't yet open when we wanted to eat. So leftovers for lunch, Mexican for dinner!
  9. I don't worry about half holes. I just make sure I start them all from the same end of the proclick and same end of the paper. That way all the holes line up...even half holes. 😄
  10. It could be "purging." That said, I'm a HUGE CeraVe fan and I couldn't use the retinol or the bp face wash. I had irritation and breakouts. (I use their pm lotion in morning and evening, and their SA face wash.) I passed the bp wash on to dd14 and returned the retinol.
  11. DH will probably go for the new SE. His phone is a 6, I think? And the battery is totally shot. He was trying to hold out for their 5g model (maybe released in the fall, he said? Idk). But thinking about it, it'd be longer than that for us because we don't (can't) afford a newly released phone - so why wait? He'll probably order a SE next week. (Walmart has a preorder deal that drops the price even more.)
  12. Following. My brother has 4 girls: ages 5, 3, 2, 2. They've been posting lots of "dance party" videos on FB. (I don't envy him at all right now, lol.)
  13. My kids used to draw all the time on plain typing paper (before getting hooked on sketch books). They had stacks and stacks of drawings from years past that they refused to purge -- so I Proclick-ed them into books to put on their shelves. Such an improvement.
  14. Our insurance says that they are evaluating through April to determine what they do... (I'm not holding my breath, honestly.)
  15. I was having this trouble, too. The main page of the credit union said they were having "unprecedented traffic." I finally got on just now and the $ was there.
  16. Idk. My bank's website keeps crashing, so I can't check.
  17. Our quarantine life doesn't look much different than our regular life. That said, I'm bored out of my mind. I'm struggling to stay awake during the day. The kids seem...okay. They've got a lot of Zoom meetings, but they miss going places. Heck, I hate going places and *I* miss going places.
  18. I had to look them up, and I was born and raised on rural NC farmland. Looks like they're a Midwest thing? (not in the east.) They're super cute, lol. No help, OP, but I wish you luck! Rodents in the siding sounds like a pain.
  19. I'm with you! I really liked that one. (I have it on DVD -- it's one of my "comfort movies.")
