My 3 younger kids are on a USA team for this first time after only doing a summer swim team for years. We went to our first cold weather meet on Saturday. It was an interesting experience. It was 37 degrees outside when they got in for warm-ups. I stood beside the pool feeling a bit cold myself as I watched them swim. I think we would all prefer swimming when it is 110 even though that temperature brings other challenges!

I do not like them and will only use them if forced into it.

Yes. We are taking the entire week off. I can't make it until Christams break.

My dh once had a doctor's office refuse to see him because he wouldn't give them his ssn. I can't remember what the appointment was for, but he refused to comply and left. It was unbelievable.

Maybe Tetanus in 1998? I can't remember. Before that - who knows? I'm thinking maybe I should look into getting Tetanus the next time I have a physical.

We do have our home and auto policies separate right now. Our home owner's increased about $150 per year when I switched our cars to Geico. This was nothing compared to the auto insurance savings we had when we switched. We have 3 young drivers on my policy and making the switch to Geico was about $200 per month cheaper.

We're doing poultry. We were going to do dairy goat, but I decided one animal project was enough. Unfortunately, our club doesn't have any non-animal projects that my kids would interested in.

We haven't switched yet, but I hope to get around to doing it soon.

GEICO has given us the best rates, too.

Ours was $321 for 3200 sq ft. AC was on all the time set at 80-81. I was happy with that considering how hot it is.

We stopped using toothpaste with fluoride a few years ago. Our water is not fluoridated nor would we drink fluoridated water. I have never let our kids have fluoride treatments at the dentist. My kids have rarely had a cavity, and our dentist has never said anything to us about not doing the fluoride treatments.

My dds just paid $444 for a yearly pass that is a paved lot and about a 10-15 minute walk to class.

I did that with my maiden name a few years ago, too. It was really weird.

My ds14 took the Biology class this year. He worked hard and really liked Ms. Upperman.

I'm with you. I'm feeling a bit panicked today. Too much planning to do with so little time to do it. I've got to order books...

I don't trust the 2 day shipping promise anymore and don't even get me started about OnTrac. I can't believe how many late shipments and problems we have had in the past year.

I belong to a Catholic homeschool group not affiliated with a particular parish called the Holy Family Home Educators. You could just call it Parish Name Homeschoolers as you suggested. I like the saint name idea, too.
