  1. My dd15 has taken Spanish 1 and is currently in Spanish 2. She has liked both classes and teachers and plans to take Spanish 3. I think the classes are challenging, but very manageable if the proper reviewing and studying is done.
  2. They are very cute! We're getting an 8 week old Labrador Retriever pup in 2 days. I will never be ready. 😄
  3. I did this 2 years ago. I bought a converter on amazon. I think it cost about $75. I had to play the 8mm tapes on my camcorder to do it. It took some time, but I did about 30 8mm tapes. I didn't do any editing.
  4. I would tell her to mail it. 😃
  5. 1995. My dh has been a fan from the beginning. We still have one of the free travel mugs they sent us for being a customer. I think they sent us 2 or 3 of them in the first few years.
  6. My ds20 who took the Blue Tent English Honors 2 class is currently taking college classes. Though many of his classes have/had discussion boards, he has yet to have any class require anything like the Blue Tent class.
  7. Thank you for the replies. My older ds took the Honors English 2 class and grew weary of the discussion board very quickly. I was hoping this class wasn't as heavy on the discussion board. Back to the drawing board...
  8. Do any of you have experience with this class? I'm particularly interested in knowing how much time is spent on answering discussion board questions.
  9. Book of Readings: Supplementary Readings for Declaration Statesmanship ISBN: 9781497538160 Would anyone happen to have a copy of this book that you would sell to me? My dd17 needs it for her US Government class with Memoria Press. Everytime I try to buy it, the seller doesn't actually have it, and my order gets cancelled. TIA!
  10. Who is the author of The Elephant in the Room? There appears to be several books with this title. I want to be sure to get the right one.
  11. Tweezers - We always need these for removing cactus thorns/spines, and I can never find them when I need them. Scissors Nail clippers
  12. My dd16 completed this course 4 years ago in 8th grade. I don't remember how much time it took, but I know she tried to work on it everyday. She says it depended on the week and the material as to how much time she spent each day. It was not a heavy workload, and she finished it in the 9 month time period. I do know that she liked the course. Sorry I'm not much more help than that.
  13. Thank you for taking the time to share this info. I really appreciate it.
  14. I'm wondering if you could share your concerns? I'm considering a few courses at MPOA next year, too.
  15. My ds 19 took this class in 9th grade. He didn't care for the class, and the writing assignments seemed to have very little direction. Things could have changed since it was 5 years ago.
  16. What about Gilad with his Bodies in Motion workouts? You can find some on YouTube. He's definitely old school. Music isn't awesome though.
  17. We had a man sing this at mass years ago like he was a rock star. I haven't been able to listen to it since.
  18. My ds18 had Regina London for AP Calc AB this year. It was a great experience for him. She is an awesome teacher.
  19. My ds has to retake AP Cal AB. He was unable to upload one of the questions. He was so upset and at first did not want to do the retake. I still can't believe that they didn't have a backup plan for this type of problem. I'm happy to see they have a plan in place for this week's test takers.
  20. No gloves, no mask, But, I do keep my distance and wash hands when I get home. I saw several people at the grocery store in masks today, but most had no masks or gloves.
  21. My ds18 has only applied to 2 schools and has been accepted at both in the Engineering Colleges - Northern Arizona University and University of Arizona. We found out yesterday that he has received a Wildcat Distinction Merit Award at UA, and the amount will cover tuition and fees. We are so excited!
