It's just a 3 month contract job with no benefits. But that's good for our short term goals and long term plans to move away out of the rat race. This company never hires anyone directly. They always do a 3 month, then 6 month contracts during your first two years and THEN they might hire as a direct employee. But it's a company with a good reputation. DD said, "Oh Daddy, you are so handsome! You look like the President!" :lol::lol: We died laughing on that one. One of his friends, former colleague from previous job where all the layoffs happened, posted on Linkedin that they just got a PM job at that company yesterday. Coincidence? DH hasn't gotten his "Dear John" yet, but we think it's in the mail. Today he's handing in all his hardware at the old job and disability will be over and the layoff formally begins. After my DH accepted the job he started May 1st, not one, not two, but *THREE* of the companies who had been stalling on making a decision for *MONTHS* (one since October if you can believe it!) came back to him asking if he was still interested. He had written them off as dead because he hadn't heard anything for so long. He's convinced that the labor market is starting to turn around because he's also gotten a couple of headhunter calls.
