A friend and future homeschooling dad overheard another customer and the cashier talking about homeschoolers and how those kids should be in school because "they need the socialism.":lol: I couldn't agree more! BTW, they do have IGA in CT, too, so it's not just southern. There is one in the little town I grew up in. For the longest time, I thought it was called "iggah" cause that was my parents nickname for the store! I was arguing with friends one time, saying it was "iggah" and they insisted that it was pronounced by the letters "I-G-A". I went to my mom and dad to prove them wrong. They had been in the small towns in this area all my life. They've been closing up like crazy. Now that building houses a "Grocery Outlet". :ack2: (Not kidding--that's the name of the store.)
