  1. @peacelovehomeschooling Don't be too hard on yourself. The homeschooling life can be tough! Tomorrow is another day.
  2. @Kassia Hope it is pain free. Sending you good vibes. @stephanier.1765 Happy you had some nice weather. I HATE winter and it seems unrelenting right now. Eating was good today. Going to pace around the house tonight to get some more steps in. Have a great evening, everyone!
  3. I have tried all kinds and Cerave is what I prefer. It really makes a difference.
  4. I am feeling the pain of eating out and baked goods. Both are traps for me. Good job handling those situations, ladies! Yes! on progress not perfection. Just keep going. Feeling strong today. Used heavier weights on some of my exercises. Looking forward to results in the future. Eating was fine yesterday and off to a good start today. Hope everyone has a great day!
  5. I wanted with everyone the tracker I use. I have gone away from this a few times, but always come back to it. This ABSOLUTELY NOT an affiliate link or anything. Just wanted to let everyone know this is out there and has been helpful to me: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0963796844/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 You can click on the picture to look inside and see what the pages look like.
  6. I want in on this! I started last June and have slowly lost about 20 lbs. I have about another 15 (or slightly less) to go until I am ready for maintenance. I am in a healthy weight range, but my body composition is crud. Way too much body fat and not enough lean muscle mass. To combat this I am eating a whole foods plant based diet (with lots of beans) and lifting weights 3 times a week. I am starting to see some muscle definition. Going to keep at it. I also have a FitBit One (waist clip kind-like a pedometer) and use it most days. I track my food and try to stay between 1200 kcal and 1300 kcal a day. I have many good days, but some really bad ones (like yesterday--hello superbowl food). I have been reading the thread history. Keep at it ladies. WE CAN DO IT!
  7. Yes! If I could snap my fingers I would have a large laundry room with built in clothing storage. If you have room, look at some stuff from Ikea and think about where you could put it in your house.
  8. You need to put in a vent fan that vents to the outside of your house. This is the only way to keep it gone once it is completely re mediated. Yes, depending on your house configuration, that might be expensive.
  9. If he is not better by tomorrow, I would go for a strep test. I don't mess around with strep because of the potential heart damage (but that risk takes several days to kick in, so not trying to alarm you). Vomiting and fever are definitely symptoms or strep. Does he have the rash? Does he have speckles or red streaks in his throat?
  10. I am actually looking at buying the same size car right now. I have narrowed my decision to the Buick Enclave and Chevrolet Traverse.
  11. Cold weather (negative wind chills) expected in my area too this week. Blargh! When we retire we are moving to Arizona (or similar). I HATE winter.
  12. Yes. I can't even think of doing food/refreshment things in the bathroom. 🤢
  13. The Property Brothers say that if you have kids and/or pets, go with a midtone to hide dirt. They even did a demo with different flooring samples. It was eye opening.
  14. You need to keep reminding yourself that this is not about ANY failing you have. This is about HIS failings. He is the one who rejected you, his precious daughter, when you chose to marry a man of another faith. That says VOLUMES about him, not you. You have done nothing wrong. You do not need his approval. I know it hurts because as children we are programmed to seek our parents' approval. What you need to say to yourself now is that any disgust you heard in that phone call is all about him, not you. You are a worthy person without him.
  15. At least once a day since they were babies. 12 and 15 now and it is an absolute need. Probably could have skipped an occasional night as little kids, but I have cleaning hangups.
  16. How I Built This with Guy Raz is my all time favorite podcast ETA: The Edible Arrangements episode might be one of the most inspiring stories I have ever heard
  17. True Treadmills have nice decks. I also like Precor. Deck springiness/shock absorption and overall stability are worth paying for IMHO. ETA: and I haven't been on one in a loooong time, but I remember StarTrac treadmills being good too
  18. I got this midlevel Kitchen Aid (only in white) and I love it so much. It cleans really well and can hold so many dishes. I am seriously thankful for it every day. I did not want the third rack because my silverware drawer is away from my dishwasher. I wanted a removeable basket. The dishes come out clean and dry except for a very small amount of water on the top of plastic cups. I can live with that. (I can dry all the water I need to with one strip of paper towel while unloading.) https://www.nfm.com/kitchenaid-built-in-dishwasher-with-prowash-cycle-and-printshield-finish-in-stainless-steel
  19. Yes. I got just a bad nasal/chest cold the day after Christmas. Still coughing some. So irritating.
  20. One more option: https://www.primary.com/shop/kids/tops/the-short-sleeve-tunic-tee?ref=nav_pdp_18&color=azalea&size=8-9
  21. The only correct response to these is "#### you." Seriously. Who makes comments like that????
  22. Dude. That is awful. You need a looooong break with fresh air. Glad you are going to reclaim your Christmas!
  23. I am so thankful for our wonderful Christmas spent with family. My favorite gifts were these jeans and this bracelet that I had picked out myself and had on my Amazon gift list. It was risky picking out jeans online without trying them on, but the fit perfectly and are so comfortable. The bracelet is just pretty. My sweet mom bought both for me. https://www.amazon.com/Riders-Lee-Indigo-Smoother-Bootcut/dp/B0733S4HCY/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1545878298&sr=8-5&keywords=lee+jeans+for+women+pull+on https://www.amazon.com/LADY-COLOUR-Bracelet-Sterling-Swarovski/dp/B071D9J878/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1545878333&sr=8-7&keywords=crystal+bracelet
  24. We have a ecoBee thermostat and control it with our echo products. So awesome. I use the one in my bedroom to play "babbling brook" on demand. I use it when cooking and when tracking my food for unit conversions and food nutrition information. I use it as a timer for all kinds of thing when cooking and for limited time kid activities. We have it play music for family dance parties. So many uses. Be sure to read up on the features online.
  25. Yes. I'm with you. I would not be around BIL for a looong time, if ever.
