  1. Have you tried Intuniv. It has been very helpful to my child with PDDNOS and ADHD.
  2. Cipiro is the antibiotic that works really well for UTI. I second J-Rap on the Phenazopyridine. You can buy it over the counter as AZO pills.
  3. Does she have her social security card? If not, she should get a new one after getting her birth certificate.
  4. It has always been this way in my house. My older DS has special needs and has been homeschooled since 4th grade. My younger DS stayed in brick and mortar PS. It works out well. I have a couple of times taken my younger DS out of public school for fun field trips I just didn't want him to miss. Other than that, no public school days during the week (teacher work days, etc) and the only thing that is at all hard. My kids were old enough when I started homeschooling that it was never really hard to have two different paths.
  5. Yes. SS cards have a code. For those born before 2011, it can tell you state of origin: https://www.lavasurfer.com/info/socialsecurity.html
  6. Can she go to the college and ask to look at her file? Maybe they have a copy.
  7. Yes. It will take mild to major reno to eliminate smoke smell. Once you smoke in any room of your house, the entire house will smell like smoke, it just may not be as strong in some rooms. That house is going to need a kilz/repaint/recarpet at a minimum. Nicotine sticks to everything. $200 is way too low. I would give a high hourly rate l(like $45/hour) and warn them it will take several hours for the deep clean.
  8. Right. Couldn't the young adult live there?
  9. So do you have an empty bedroom currently gutted to the studs? If so, I would prioritize paying someone to hang/tape/bed the drywall so that you can move someone in there.
  10. My parents did river rock for the exact same reason. It is working well for them, but labor intensive to have put down. They hired a guy. Plus, river rock can be expensive.
  11. These jeans!!! Seriously. They are the most flattering and most comfortable jeans I have ever owned. Fit true to size. I am 5'3" and got the regular length. They shrunk some in length after washing and drying. My only (tiny) complaint is that they are about 1/2 to 1" too long still unless I am wearing tall shoes. However, the short length would have been too short after washing and drying. https://www.amazon.com/Riders-Lee-Indigo-Smoother-Bootcut/dp/B0733T9MFY/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&qid=1550276490&sr=8-13&keywords=riders+lee+indigo
  12. Hello everyone. Things have been just rolling along here today. I lifted weights and eating is on track. I am determined to really focus the rest of this month. My goal is to hit 130 by 3/3. 3-4 lbs to go. I am in the slow zone, so I need to stay on task. I enjoy hearing about everyone's light bulb moments and successes. Keep going!
  13. I am on the serial poster bus tonight too! I just want to say that I am angry for you about that wedding. People need to mind their own business when it come to food. Seriously. Everyone should have autonomy with no judgement when eating. Most of the people on this board are more civilized than I am. I might have told her to "pound sand" using less PG language or t least called her out on why was she soooo interested in what I was eating. You have my permission to be less nice next time if that works for you.
  14. @stephanier.1765 WOW! That quilt is amazing!
  15. Same. Completely obsessed. Also sorry, Peachdoodle. Will stop with this post.
  16. I have seen the ads for it. I can't imagine how hard that would be. The A&E show that has my full attention is Leah Remini's show about Scientology. I have seen every episode.
  17. I would call the doctor too and see if she can call in a script for antibiotic drops.
  18. Eating out is really tough unless it happens to be a fresh/light food type place. That said, when I am going to eat out and want to stay on plan, I look at the menu online before I go and pick what will work best before I am there smelling/seeing the food. It also gives me extra time to make up my mind without pressure.
  19. I like the fudge and chocolate peanut butter flavors. I do not like the sea salt caramel. I really want to try the chocolate almond.
  20. Nice to meet you too! I have actually been mostly plant based since 2011 or 2012. If you have not seen the movie "Forks Over Knives" I highly recommend it. ETL is a wonderful, well-researched book packed full of great info. Dr. Fuhrman's website is good too. (I only read the free stuff. I don't pay for a membership or anything and do not buy anything other than the few magnets.)
  21. @Kassia Protein bars help me out almost every day. I eat these plant based ones: https://www.amazon.com/Garden-Life-Organic-Chocolate-Fudge/dp/B01N547GGL/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1549487361&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=garden%2Bof%2Blife%2Bprotein%2Bbar&th=1
  22. @ondreeuh and @stephanier.1765 I am a heaviest meal at lunch person too! @MercyA drink a bunch of water and dust yourself off. I have done the same MANY times. Feeling B L O A T E D today. My weight is up 2 pounds. I am 100% positive it is from the weight lifting and from the extra salt I added to my food yesterday, but it still feels gross. Banning use of the salt shaker for the rest of this week. (I have issues with a love of sodium.) Everything going well today. Eating on point. Prepping for another possible school cancellation tomorrow. This is unfun because I have one kid in brick and mortar public school who will get the day off and one kid in online public school who won't. Joy.
  23. ETL is a wonderful book! I am primarily a plant based, whole foods eater and love Dr.Fuhrman. I have some of his refrigerator magnets as reminders to eat G-BOMBS.
